Hey guys! My name is Dani and I am about to marry my fiance, Fernando, on the 17th!!! I have been a member of I2US for a while and wanted to check out this great site. I am familiar with the info on here but wanted to join the forum and get to know everyone!

This is our story: We have been together for a little over 4 years and have a 3 year old son, Caleb. My SO EWI from Guatemala in 02 and has been here since then. We will be mailing the I-130 as soon as the marriage certificate is signed :) I know that we will face a few difficulties. He got a DUI in 05 and got his DL suspended for a year. After the year he paid the reinstatement fee and unsuccessfully tried to get a DL. Unfotunately TN no longer gives DLs to illegals. Apparently it is still considered suspended bc he got pulled over in Jan for a headlight out and got a citation for Driving on a Suspended License. I want to look into whether or not we are able to get the status of his DL changed. Bc technically I wouldn't think that it is still "suspended". It was only for a yr. I think that Driving W/O a DL looks better than Driving on a Susp. DL.

Anyway I am hopeful that by the time his appt comes up (ab a yr from now) it be favorable for us that his DUI will be over 4 yrs old. I also hope that his Suspended DL charge doesn't cause too much problems. But.....I know that since he EWI and stayed for more than a yr we will be filing the I-601 anyway. I am working on organizing it now and will prob be hiring a lawyer.

11.23.09 - AOS touched - card production ordered & welcome letter sent - 13 months exactly after initially applying for K-1!

02.01.17 - put in line for interview

03.15.17 - scheduled for an interview on 04.21.17, had to write a letter asking for a reschedule because we will be out of the country

03.31.17 - scheduled for an interview again
