RJ to sao paulo is less than 1.5 hours flight. after the interview we went back the next day to get the visa. if you stay there for a day you dont have to wait. if u drive or take a bus to rio, i think it's like 6 hours

It's way cheap to fly so that's the plan; I've made that flight before. I didn't think you could wait for some reason, but what do I know. :bonk: That would be better than dealing with some postal service. Thanks for the advice; we're trying to figure out when my fiancee can fly to the US after the interview.

So you're saying that you can just stay in Rio an extra day and pick up the Visa in person from the consulate? Is this always the case?

I received a letter from the RJ consulate stating that my fiancee's interview is scheduled for Dec. 15 (kind of strange...we haven't turned in any of the Packet 3 forms...). We're hoping that she can come visit my family in the US for Christmas, so we're wondering if this gives us enough time for her to interview and then receive the visa in time to travel to the US.
