I think there are alot of differences by province too.... for example the bunny thing I never heard of either, or the Uturn reference. When I moved from Quebec to Ontario there was alot of slang that differed.... such as, "let's go to the depanneur to get some beer" well Ontario does not know what a dep is!

The Bunny Hug is what people from Saskatchewan call a hoodie. :)

And the U-turn thing, is also known as "Flipping a ######" in the US. Tee hee

I also found out tonight that my Fiance had no clue what a "soaker" was either. Wonder what they call it when you step in a puddle and it totally soaks your shoes....he had no clue.

I've never heard of a soaker either! Yes, lots of regional stuff!

Shack wacky was something i said that was new to Hubby

oh and he has this thing of telling the kids "to put it up" (us) instead of "put it away" (can)

lol I live in a french neighbourhood in Winnipeg and our depanneur does not sell beer. Thats unfortunate. And I always referred to a soaker as a booter..lol same idea though. And bunny hug is definitely a Sask. thing.
