Hi i was just wondering wich papers should i bring with me if i got aproved a k1 visa, wich papers will i need to get married there?

Depends on the state, but usually your passport is sufficient to obtain a marriage license.

The passport or other official governmentally issued photo identification should enable you to marry; check the policies of the U.S. state where you would marry, and of the office (county clerk, for example) where you would plan to apply for a marriage license.

If you were in the U.S. before and had a Social Security Number (SSN) issued to you previously, find that card and bring it. If you were ever issued a Divorce Certificate, procure at least one extra original while you're still in your own country, and bring it.

While we're on the subject, here are other things that will be very helpful to bring (in general, not just for marriage):

1. While you are still in your country, procure TWO extra originals of your birth certificate.

2. Shortly before you leave your country for the U.S. (but not at the last minute), get a freshly issued driver's license from your country, and an International Driver's Permit.

A wrinkle of note: When my fiancee and I (the USC) went to purchase our marriage license, I was required to produce something official (governmental) with my SSN on it. I had not been told about this necessity when I had phoned earlier! I raced home, rooted around, and couldn't find my Social Security card anywhere. I ended up bringing a U.S. savings bond, which was all that I could find. The county clerk ended up asking her supervisor about it (it was a first-time situation), but that kind of proof was OK -- as I pointed out, a savings bond IS an officially issued governmental document ("how am I wrong, Ma'am?"). So, it's not only the intending immigrant who should consider being prepared.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Sort of along the line of T Bone...

You're moving countries -- aren't you bringing ALL your important documents with you when you PoE? Am I thinking wrong here?

If you mean what should you bring to the office itself, that's also already been answered - varies from state to state, you'll have to check.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Google MARRIAGE LICENCE *STATE* ...... I googled Marriage Licence Oregon and the first link was http://www.weddingvendors.com/marriage-lic...-states/oregon/ so do your state and youll get all the info you need for your state ...
