Hey Guys

We had our Interview today and I am happy to say I was approved!!! :) :) We arrived at 1:45 for our 2 pm appointment, went through security and had to wait for 15 min before being called in by a Middle aged Female officer. She saw me carrying in huge photo albums and remarked later that she thought i would get a hernia carrying them in :P But she did not even look at one picture. As soon as we entered she swore us in asked us to take a seat. Then she asked us for our ids and then asked how me met, how long did we know each other before we got married, and then verified the information on the forms and asked the usual 'No' questions on the i-485. Then she asked for joint proof so we provided our utility bills and when we gave her our joint health + life insurance she said yes that was very good and after that she did not want anymore. But just to be safe, i kind of forced her to take a joint bank statement lol.

After that, she took the i-94 out, wrote something on it, then stamped approved on the 485. She asked for my EAD and AP, laughed at the fact they printed my wifes pic on the AP by mistake, then stamped my passport with the temporary stamp good for a year :) :) I was kind of happy i did not have to ask for it. Overall, the IO was really friendly and polite and didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all.

So I think I am done because i saw her stamp the forms with the Big Approval stamp and got the stamp in the passport but my online status still says received and pending and that my case is still at NBC.... thats weird but no card production ordered touch... :unsure:

Anyways thanks to everyone here on this forum for answering a lot of questions and helping me save some big money on lawyer fees and for sharing their experiences so i knew what to expect.

Jan-20-2009 Recieved notice to go to biometrics appt (For I-485, I-765) on Jan-30-2009

Jan-30-2009 Biometrics Done (I-485, I-765 receipt numbers start working online to check status)

Mar-02-2009 Interview Letter Received for April 3rd.

Mar-17-2009 Recevied Emails saying AP approved and EAD card production ordered

Mar-20-2009 Received Email EAD card production ordered again!!

Mar-26-2009 Received EAD card in mail.

Apr-03-2009 AOS Interview

Apr-03-2009 AOS Approved and Passport stamped with I-551 stamp.

Apr-10-2009 Received I-130 Approval Notice and Welcome Notice.

Apr-16-2009 Received Actual GC in mail.

Congratulations!! The last time I checked CRIS never updated my wife's status. Updates are inconsistant. The main thing is getting the welcome letter and green caed in the mail! :thumbs:
