Just an FYI for everyone that is waiting for their NOA2.

There appears to be a problem, or serious lag, in the online case status system for CSC. We received our NOA2  from CSC almost 2 weeks ago (and the petition has been received by NVC) and the online system still shows no updates for our case. The message still reads 'pending and received.' :bonk:

Just an FYI.

Best of luck!

I think the Case Status Online is DOWN - doesn't work today at all - session times out or page not found.

I don't think it's DOWN - they just don't update it. Me and my husband - we both have tried to check our case online from USA and Europe at different times of the day, and every time it says error - case not found. We applied in Feb, and till today - NOTHING!!!

On the top of it, most of the Feb filers got their NOA2's, we still didn't get ours. March filers also got theirs, while Oct, Nov, Dec 2008 filers are still waiting. WT...?:crying:

Hey received my NOA2 today but the website still says pending and even called them yesterday and they had no idea it had been approved 10 days earlier.....don't waste your time checking the case status....

Did you receive an email prior to the mailing?

(Assuming you had signed up for that.)

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Your lucky you got a NOA2, some are approved without even knowing it, till they call USCIS, or get letter from NVC.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

I am so tired of the incompetent people who work for USCIS. After more than a month, my case status is still not online, and every time I call they say that there is a problem with their system, but they will transfer me to a supervisor who can answer my questions. That is all fine, until today when I called, and the woman insisted that because she could see my case in her computer than I should be able to see it when I log on. I explained that I had tried right before I called her, but my case number could not be found. She told me to sign up for email updates which I had already tried but was unable to do so since they do not recognize my number. I politely requested to speak with a supervisor which caused her to become very snotty and ask me what the purpose of that was. I explained that in spite of following her suggestions, I was still unable to check the progress of my case without calling USCIS every time. Then she tried to give me the same old story about being within the normal processing times as they are only working on files from October. I didn't bother to point out that several January and February filers on VJ have already received their NOA2. I just said thank you and hung up the phone. I realize that the information they provide is not accurate, but it is really frustrating knowing that there is nothing I can do. I was feeling so hopeful when I saw how fast they were going through the February files, but now everything has stopped. I'm sure there will be people who want to tell me that I should be more patient as it has only been a little over a month since I filed, but the truth is, we have been apart for the past 15 years and only able to afford one visit in all that time. On top of everything I sent my Aff. of Support paperwork to my fiance so he would have it already, and the post office sent it to Venezuela instead of Brasil! Now it is lost somewhere even though I paid nearly $40 to send it express mail with tracking. Now I am going to have to do all of the forms again since they only accept the originals and probably pay again to ensure I can track it online. Sorry for all of the complaining, but I really HATE the government bureaucracy. I'm not sure this process is worth all of the pain it causes. Thanks for listening, and if anyone has a way to contact the CSC directly, I would appreciate it!
