Ohmygosh, I read that about 20 years ago. lol. All I remember is that the answer is 42.

The answer to life is 42

I was going to pick up Dan Brown's new book on Sunday, but I decided to wait for the paperback edition to come out.

Forced Entries by Jim Carroll. He wrote The Basketball Diaries. An interesting read albeit ecclectic.

I absolutely loved all of Douglas Adams' books. I got the comprehensive Hitchikers Guide when I was in college with all of the series only because it was cheaper than just getting The Hitchikers Guide all by itself. Go figure. Very serendipitous for me, I loved every page of the subsequent books.

I'm reading Sister Dearest, it's about some poor schmoe named Mumsie and the things he had to put up as a child. Apparently his Sister named Len used to do all sorts of nasty things to him. I'm reading the chapter where she slips laxatives into his hot chocolate and wraps the toilet seat in Saran Wrap. :o:lol:

Just ordered me the new Theo Fleury book from amazon.com! As well as the book of the Capitals coach!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Digital Fortress is another really cool one by Dan Brown. Likey.

If you like his style, you totally have to read Ted Dekker. He is the man. I recommend "Three"; "Obsessed" and the tricolor trilogy. My take, he is much better than Brown, by a looooooooooong stretch

Oh thanks!

I have been reading Deception Point by Dan Brown.... it's a scientific thriller. OMG, I can't put it down!

Deception Point was an excellent book!

I am reading Dark Fire by Sansom right now. Interesting fictional novel that ties in historical fact in 1540's England.

Montreal: BEAT!!! Approved!!!!!

re-reading roald dahl's "tales of the unexpected". very dark and cheeky. if you like short stories- you should try this one.

also reading "sharp teeth" by toby barlow. i have to be honest and say i bought the book because of the very well designed book cover. i do that a lot*. but the book is interesting. a challenging read.

*last time i bought a book purely on the cover ended up being the REALLY enjoyable "the yiddish policeman's union" by michael chabon
