I swear, drama follows me where ever I go. I hereby declare today to be a drama free day. I would like to apologize again for the event that shall not be named.

I hope everyone's friday is uneventful and restful and that ya'll have a good weekend.

For those who's husbands are here in the US, what are you planning on doing for the 4th of July? Heck, for those who's husbands/fiances aren't here yet, what are you planning for their first 4th of July? Fireworks of course, and a picnic here. I'm going to see if I can find a parade somewhere too.

Let's see -- parade, picnic, fireworks..... I think you've got it pretty well covered !

I am thinking of doing barbecue with potato salad & fixins.... we'll have watermelon, too (of course) But for a picnic it would definitely be fried chicken.

Hey! Happy Friday everyone!

Today is just work, work, work. We may go see a movie tonight or something. Tomorrow is the first day we've had in a while to just relax together, since Amed is off of work. We're going to go check out our venue for our wedding because Amed's never seen it! I'm so excited. It's at a golf club, and the wedding will be held by a creek under two large oak trees.

The 4th should be interesting. We had planned on going out of town since it was going to be a long weekend for me, but Amed got a temp job, and he has to work on Monday, so we will probably just go see a movie, and then go somewhere near the water to watch the fireworks. I'm sure there will be grilling out and swimming at some point over the weekend. It's almost a requirement!

Hope everyone is doing well. Don't let that stuff that shall not be named get you down and ruin your weekend!

Well...it will be Hicham's first July 4th. My city puts on a BIG celebration and we are going to go. There usually about five hundred thousand people there for free concerts, food, and fireworks over the intracoastal timed to music from the local radio station. I am so excited! (Fireworks are my favorite!)

:crying: That's suppose to be happy crying. Today I got the e-mail about commencement ceremony. Let me tell you on August 5th I am going to be a BIG mess! I have never been sooo proud of any accomplishment in my life. When I get my diploma I'm going to be a wreck. Anyway it's a few weeks off but I'm sure I'll be talking about it between now and then.

For the fourth I think that we are going to go up to my dad's for a long weekend - Thursday - Tuesday and relax and hang out. I really want to go camping so maybe I will talk him into a trip to Lake Superior or Lake Michigan and hang out, swim etc. Nothing set in stone yet. I really want him to see a big celebration so it would be neat if we could head down to Chicago and see the Fireworks on the tall ships over Lake Michigan. Maybe next year :)

Lostinlove, that makes 2 of us. I didn't sleep last night. At 1 am I was laying there in the dark staring at the ceiling wishing with my whole heart I could just talk to Mohammed and lo and behold the phone rang! It was Moh. He was all apologetic for calling at that hour but said he just felt like he needed to call and wanted to know if I was ok. There you go. Stuff that one in the ole elephant.

I just got back from a 3 mile huffing walk. I'm dripping. I don't know if exercise wise that is good or bad. God knows I need to shed a few pounds. I will say one thing. Nothing clears the head and emotions like a good hard walk. That's the primary reason I go. That and I just love the nature.

I will hang out with the kids for fireworks on the 4th. Otherwise nothing special planned.

I just want to say again, I'm really grateful to have you guys.

Congratulations Amera! Laugh, cry, dance, roll around on the floor... you deserve it!

I'm continuing to pack today... yesterday we ended up going out with one of Maj's friends (it was a surprisingly pleasant experience, usually when I'm with his friends they're too shy to talk to me, but he was really nice, and they talked in French the whole night so I understood what was going on!!!) so I didn't get any packing done :(

Plus we're going to the DMV to try to get Maj's learner's permit. We have a copy of what's supposed to be all the questions they ask... hopefully it's right, if not I don't know if we've reviewed enough for Maj to pass. We'll see :P

July 4th... We'll be in NYC, and I think I have the day off! Ella, what happens in New York on the 4th? I've never spent the 4th in New York before.

Amera, CONGRATULATIONS!!! This is an amazing accomplishment for anyone, and it's been harder for you what with having to work a lot and take care of your little one. You should be very proud of yourself.
