Hello to everyone! Congrats to the recent approvals and to those still waiting, my heart goes out to you.... Anna and Majid I am happy to see you are already out of NVC to Casablanca!

I finally locked down a new job offer, but had a few weeks before the start date so I skipped town and headed to Bangkok. It is great to be able to spend an unexpected two weeks with Rinda. I have everything ready to go for Packet 3. I want to get the interview scheduled as soon as possible. I don't think that Rinda will be able to come back with me, but I would love to get her through the remaining process by mid-October.

Before I left we had not yet received the NOA2 as well as NVC had not yet received our case. Does anyone know if we can apply for the police report and medical here without the NVC case number? Do we need the actual letters or can I just keep calling NVC to try to get it? (I left my mailbox keys for some friends to check, but would hate to have that stuff sit just because I am here in Thailand.)

Thanks

Chris

Thank you so much :) How wonderful that you are visiting your honey :) You can call NVC, that's how I got ours. Just give them you USCIS case number, and if they have received it, ask for it. Just keep calling in my opinion...sorry I can't help with you doing the other stuff without it. Maybe call the embassy and see?

Hello April Folks,

Congratulations to all those who have received the NOA2. For those still waiting, my heart and hopes go out to you for a speedy and joyous end to your torture. I've never actually been tortured but the wait between NOA1 and NOA2 has to qualify as mental torture. The night I noticed a touch and then got the email shortly after was one of the most emotional moments of my long life. Our Story so far:

I-129F sent - 4/11/09

NOA1 received - 4/23/09

NOA2 email - 27 August

NVC Letter - 9 September (dated 3 September)

10 September - Called The Embassy In Manila, they wanted to set the interview for 16 September. We needed time for the medical so its set for 23 September. Claire and Alexis will be at St. Lukes on the 15th.

I have read every guide here and any posts I can find on the subject but I'm still confused - maybe its just the stress of the moment and not wanting to make any mistakes.

Can you guys double check me please?

I-134 Affidavit of Support - Just need 1 copy signed by me with all supporting information attached?

DS 156 Visa Application - Just need 1 copy for Claire?

DS 156K - Need 2 copies for Claire and 2 Copies for Alexis?

DS 157 - Need 2 copies for Claire and 2 Copies for Alexis?

Application Fees - $131 each paid at Banco De Oro prior to the interview - reciept is stamped on the DS-156K?

Thanks everyone and please wish us luck,

Along with everything else I'm assuming you are sending, it looks good. I am sending 2 copies of originals, just in case...one never knows.

I don't know if it varies by country, but even though I haven't yet received our hard copy of the NOA2, let alone my Packet 3, I have all of my documents ready and waiting. The medical itself requires the case number, but collecting vaccination records, police reports, etc, shouldn't. If a reason is needed, simply cite immigration purposes.

Sam and Ben

A big congrats to you both, I am so happy to see you finally got past this step, :)

Thanks Mara. I'm still waiting eager to see movement on your end.

So I havent been back on since Saturday cause I was so pissed I got my RFE letter and Im like ok wat did I miss.....dese ppl done mixed me up wit someone  ....they say that in Oct. 2005 I was issued a P21 classification which is the spouse of a lawful permanent resident and I have not provided evidence of previous marriages and their subsequent termination. I was so mad because I thought I made an error and it was them.......I HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED. In 2005 I sent for a new green card......was given one with wrong info on it so I sent it back and they mailed me the correct one.....And wat has me more mad the A# they have listed in the top left box in the letter is not mine.....it clearly has the correct A# on my certificate of Naturalization....I didn't know wat to do so I called.....the customer service rep wasnt no help cause shes tellin me to send in wat they are requesting  IM LIKE HOW IF I'VE NEVER BEEN MARRIED!....I said can you transfer me to an immigration officer....So Mr. Enriques comes on the phone and I explain to him that it doesnt say what to do if this is wrong information.....He said to write a letter explaining to them that this is not me, point out that the A# is not my old A# and send in any info I have to back that up. Also let them know that I have never been married etc. He was like they do mix up ppls info sometimes so let them know this is wat happened.....Do you guys think that this is all I have to do...I do not want another delay!

Ok so I have my Jamaica Passport that has a stamp with the correct A# I also have the paper that was sent with the correct Greencard that says the A# and the date is 6/13/06(the one I recieved after they made the mistake with the last one) and the Naturalization Certificate...im gonna make a copy and highlight the A#, plus im gonna write a letter.....wat else should I have or need IDK :help:

Sounds good, there's not really anything else you can send! Does your country have a certificate of singleship? Some countries do, some don't...that could be another thing you could send.

Hello my peeps. How are all of you doing today? Another week begins and that means getting closer to my angel's interview. Now I'm at the point that the food tastes like dirt to me. (Either that or there was something wrong with my lunch today) lol. Anyway...... Is nice to see that most of you were approved. If there is still someone waiting please don't get discouraged. This part of the process, the waiting, is the worst one. Once you get over this you'll see in with your own eyes.

We'll see how this cookie crumbles from now on.

PEACE you all...............

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.

The reason behind the wait in Canada is that we have two consulates - Vancouver for the western half of the country, and Montreal for the eastern half of the country. The great majority of our population being in Ontario, we're all filtered through Montreal. At the same time, Montreal is the only consulate that deals with the K3/CR1 visas... so you can imagine they are extremely busy. It can be a good 3+ months before seeing an interview date from them. And that's after they finally receive our file.

Texpol,

My fiance wasn't able to get through to NVC...he kept saying it was busy. So...I used Skype and called NVC myself. At first, it really was busy, but with skype it's so easy to redial. Finally after try after try, I finally got the automated message and pressed 1 and then 5. I had to go through 10 rings to get someone to pick up. Let me tell you that being patient is great, but persistence sometimes pays off!

They have received our file, so since we have the same NOA2 date, they probably have yours, too!

Good luck!

Tina
