Well, TomandHongyan, maybe this will be a good week for both of us.

And I heard that too, that certain employees were allowed to bring home cases and work at their own pace, due to size limitations at the facility. No idea if this is still the case or not, but I can't imagine any other scenario that would have an employee logging files on a Saturday or Sunday.

Sam&Ben, they are approving most all of the late April filers, so you guys should be this week, and just maybe mine is somewhere close too. So many have had good new on here and it is about our turn. Let it be this week for both of us.

Thanks all for the kind words. I hope that all the remaining April filers get their NOA2 soon. I have to say it is such a relief just to know that the process is at least moving forward.

Stay strong and positive. I was feeling really down on Friday but my fiancee has been strong throughout. Rinda has pulled me through this whole adventure and made me into a better person for the experience.

Good luck!!!!

Just called USCIS to continue my harassment. Arsehole who knows less than nothing told me that VSC worked their cases on FIFO basis which we all know a big pile of stinking poop. Also told me that I have to give the cases 5+1 month extra before even thinking of inquiry about it. Very helpful. great way to start another week

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Quick update, I just called the NVC, said they have received our file, gave me a new case #...but that it had not been sent to the consulate yet and it's in additional processing. I asked her what that meant and she said "I don't know". NICE.

What DOES it mean anyway? Does that delay us yet again? <_<

Additional processing at NVC could easily mean that either one of your names were closely matched to another in the system, so they will be thoroughly investigating it to ensure that neither one of you are flagged as a risk. I don't if being bonded plays a part, though I have a vague recollection of someone on the forums here mentioning that it seemed to be the only thing to spark AP for them that they could think of.

Having said that, I don't believe you will receive any information from them as to why you are in AP, unless it results in a denial.

Unfortunately, yes, it is a delay.

Far as what any of the call center folks have said in regards to how long it will take for them to begin processing RFE-flagged files... Just remember, we all know they're full of ####### and you can seemingly get five different answers from five different folks... so don't necessarily put too much weight into it when they say it'll take xyz to continue work on your case. You could be pleasantly surprised.
