OH man guys they just sent me this!!

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD

On August 28, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your mailing address.

This sucks!!!

I wonder what they want? And I wonder if this is going to put me in the back of the line? This really sucks!! I was on such a high and now I feel so bad!!

Im really upset,Just called my lawyer and he was no help!!

Wow....i can only imagine how u feel

And u have a lawyer...i would be more pissed that with a lawyer you still need more evidence......well as soon as u get that stuff out to them u will be on a roll!

What a bummer. Is bad...I'm not going to say otherwise. But at least they are working on your file. And no....they are not going to put you back at the beginning of the queue. They will wait for your response. In the meantime they will work on other files.

But hey.....do you have a copy of the I-129F package? Give it a good check. Compare it with the guides here in VJ. Maybe you can find out what was wrong and probably have it ready by the time you get the RFE hardcopy.

You will get through this. You will see.

PEACE......

I just looked over every thing and the only thing I can see is that there is not a zip code put in the box for her city? Could this hold it up??I mean my lawyer only copyed my plane tickets and a few pictures, thats about it.

Hello Theglassguy,

I understand your being in a flutter since we got the same RFE last week, but yesterday we got the hardcopy and saw the silly RFE.My fiancee forgot to anwser 'yes or no' question in the I129 form. All that was it..Someone told me that 'Request for initial evidence' is different from 'request for additional evidence',and if there's a missing info or incomplete doc.(such as signature, unanswered question, missing documents, photos in wrong size etc..) they'll send RFE(Initial not additional).

So all you can do for now is waiting for the hardcopy of RFE,you'll see there's nothing to worry about it.Please don't get stress.(RFE is coming in about 4 days)

Stay in peace my friend.Have a nice weekend :energy:

yeah... I understand how frustrating the wait is... and there have been times that I wanted to throw rocks or something at somebody...lol... but I will just keep updating you all on the steps along the way....

Honestly, as the Petitioner, the first part of all this really was a burden for me..because I was so worried that I had screwed up something in the paperwork... but now that we have the noa2, that part of the burden has been lifted.. but now I really feel sorry for my lady, because now the burden is primarily on her. As the rest of the steps, she is really going to have to do them... My plan right now is to go to manila to attend the interview with her, that way at least I can shoulder that part of the load or at least help her carry it....

sorry just random thoughts.....

and again good luck to everyone, and to chris and mara I wish for you guys double luck.....
