Hi! I called VSC today and spoke to a nice lady on a phone asking her questions concerning my case. Basically my concerns were about processing times and the inefficiency of approval process due to jumping to later cases rather than earlier. As far as processing times she told me that september is too optimistic for me to get a notice , more likely by Thanksgiving. As far as jumping she told me that every case is different therefore it takes more time to approve some of cases. Not very encouraging conversation. I called my attorney afterwards. He simply told me to stay put and just wait. There is nothing can be done. Even expedite process is impossible. Senators and congressman have no pull in it. Sit and wait.

From what I've read from others throughout the forums here, it seems as if the attendants over the phone will most likely give you a worst-case scenario. Don't fret just yet. :)

Congratulations to the new approvals today!

They have a script that they are limited to and if they go outside of that script they can get in huge trouble... they have the same info that we have at level 1... and they are supposed to try to keep you from getting to the supervisor who can shed a little more light in some cases but not much. Whoever told em Nov had no clue what they were talking about or were trying to give em really bad news so they would not call back in the near future.... its a shame that they have people working the customer service lines that dont know how the system works or provide misinformation.. especially since the posted processing time is 5 months... April + 5 months = September not November...

Hey everyone!

I got approved today! I rec'd an email from CRIS at 6:30pm today. April is on a roll!

... while we March people rot in VSC hell.

Count your blessings, April filers.

I'm sorry..yours is coming soon. Keep the faith!

Hey, you have nothing to be sorry for. I was having a rotten day and I shouldn't have been raining on the parade in here. Congrats on yours! And thanks for your kind words... they're more than I deserve after that

And mine did come today, Deo gratias!!

If you escalate to a Level 2 immigration information officer ("supervisor"), they actually give you a worse processing time estimate than the level 1 CSRs. Level 2 people will tell you that VSC is currently working March 5 cases (which we all know is hooey, except for the poor ones who've been left behind), whereas the Level 1s—who can't see anything more detailed or accurate than what's on the website—say it's 5 months and will offer to put in a service request if you're beyond that.

For a short period of time at the middle of Aug when the new report came out, the K1 time said Mar 5.. then it switched to 5 months after a day or two...

Congrats on the NOA!

unfortunately you won't know what they want until the hard copy is received. You could go through what you sent and double check what you sent in. Could be as simple as a forgotten signature...box left unchecked etc. From what I've seen usually after they receive whatever it is they want it doesn't take too long after to get your NOA2.

What a bummer. Is bad...I'm not going to say otherwise. But at least they are working on your file. And no....they are not going to put you back at the beginning of the queue. They will wait for your response. In the meantime they will work on other files.

But hey.....do you have a copy of the I-129F package? Give it a good check. Compare it with the guides here in VJ. Maybe you can find out what was wrong and probably have it ready by the time you get the RFE hardcopy.

You will get through this. You will see.

PEACE......
