You know, I have to express my frustration for just a moment, due to something I just saw.

Having filed our I-129F in April, and been compiling our package for many months prior to that, I've been on VJ and watching VSC's progress each month through the various threads here (prior to learning about Igor's list, where my obsession could be tamed in a nice, neat page, heh). Every month that VSC starts is another one closer to us. So when they hit February, I was overjoyed that the couples from that month were finally getting touched and processed. When March was in the beginning stages of processing, again, pleased as punch that they were getting on their way. And now seeing couples from April, just like my Ben and I, getting processed, even having filed after our NOA1 date... it makes me happy. Why on earth would I begrudge someone the chance to be with their loved one?

Having said that, I made the mistake of wandering into the March filers' thread. Between the individual who chose to come in here and rant at the approved filers here, and the comments being made at that thread towards those from our month who have been blessed enough to be moving along in their own journeys... I guess I find it somewhat upsetting that hatred and ill will is being tossed at others who are enduring the same long, drawn-out and at times quite painful process...

Far as today, perhaps no one else is as addicted to checking the website for their pending approvals as we are, friend. :)

I do sincerely hope you will not paint the whole March family with the same brush as one individual? It might do you better to go back a few pages and read ALL the support from the majority of the March family. I seem to even recall one in particular offering to help an April filer today :)

The vast majority are very happy to see people getting approved... having said that,, try being a February filer or early March and seeing April 28 approvals... it is very hard to stay positive and upbeat. We rant, just like you just did...

Well put. I've been thinking about it for a couple of days after seeing the comments. Wondering why people aren't happy they are at least moving at VSC, no matter the month. Everyone is frustrated, not just certain people. It actually makes me happy (and I'm not just posting it to post, I actually GET excited and happy!) when I see anyone in any month being approved because I know that I am just one little step closer :thumbs: to being with the one I love, just as they are.

Supporting each other, and having compassion for people that are going what you are going through would be much more effective in my opinion, but I'm just one little person on this giganto earth.

Happy days are coming! :dance::dance::dance:

At no point did I say that the March bunch was badmouthing those of us here.

[...]Between the individual who chose to come in here and rant at the approved filers here, and the comments being made at that thread towards those from our month who have been blessed enough to be moving along in their own journeys[/...]

In no way was my post directed at the hundreds of March filers, obviously... it was directed to those who have actually posted ill feelings towards the filers here, when none of us have any bearing or control over any possible hardships the March, February, January and similar filers face in their own processes.

And I would like to think that, if May sees its near-end approvals and I'm still watching the USCIS website waiting desperately for our own relief, that I won't be declaring my hate for those that followed me.

Ok... so in your defense I went to March and read back some 15 pages and I only see 1 derogatory comment about the 'people' in April. I do see many comments as to the date of the April approvals. I can not and will not defend the 1 comment, other than to ask you to understand there is more there than meets the eye. We as March filers are happy to see the VSC on crack and approving at record pace. As one of those March filers that have been left behind (so far) I can tell you it is extremely frustrating and I sincerely hope that none of you here in April have to feel that frustration. this process is enough to make even the best people angry sometimes.... and I know all you here understand that.

Good luck April

First of all, I apologize for venting my frustrations here last night. I regretted it almost immediately, despite the persistent ill humour USCIS has induced in me of late. Mea maxima culpa!

Second, I don't blame anyone other than USCIS for what I'm going through. And I don't begrudge anyone here their happiness or their chance to be with their loved ones. But tell you what: go stand in a long line somewhere, and see if you don't get frustrated if they start helping people who are much further behind you in that line while making you continue to wait. It's frustration that I've expressed in the March thread, not anger or resentment toward any of the people who have gotten their NOA2s.

God forbid you should have to share the experience of seeing approval after approval come down the line with NOA1s later then yours. And I do really mean that: God forbid it—I don't wish this on anyone.

Sincerest congratulations to all who have been approved. May the rest of yours (and mine) come quickly too!

Once again, I don't see where you're pulling from my post that I was in any way making a comment towards the March filers in whole or large part. I'm sorry you see it as such and that it was taken that way. There is more than meets the eye. We have filers in this thread, as you know, that have refiled from over a year ago and are still waiting.

I apologize for how you're taking my post - I don't take it back. I still don't understand taking frustration over this process on the very same people who are struggling through it themselves. But I'm sorry you felt that my post was a directed insult towards the whole of March filers. It certainly wasn't.

"and the comments being made at that thread towards those from our month who have been blessed enough to be moving along in their own journeys"

Comments=plural

Those=plural

I really am not trying to be argumentative....In fact the opposite, my original post really was meant to reassure the 'people' here that there is no resentment from your monthly neighbor. Obviously I did not do a good job expressing myself...

I think I better shut-up now :)

Again, I wish you all good luck in this arduous journey.

I think what's going on is that there are a number of "lurkers" here who just read posts and don't get involved and don't update their timelines. Some people just quietly update their timelines without letting anyone else know.

I just saw that a May filer got approved (May 11 NOA1 date), and the April filers on VJ have not reached the 50% point yet. If I wasn't keeping track of the Berkeley stats, I wouldn't have known. Not sure what's going, but they may be going into May now.

I'm not so sure about that May NOA1. If you look, they mailed the I-129F on April 20. I'm betting they entered their NOA1 date as the day it showed up in the mail, rather than the date printed on the I-797. It's a common mistake.
