April filers here too....

Still waiting for NOA2

Welcome to the club!

sam and ben, what part od Florida are you going to? I live in Pensacola. 10 minutes from Orange beach.

Ben's from Casselberry, which is about 40min outside of Orlando.

Nice part of Florida, Orlando. I moved to Pensacola 2and1/2 years ago because a very good friend of mine lived here and he passed away while I was in China in April. When I get my sweetheart here, we will decide if we will stay here or move to a bigger city. No news on any noa2? whats up with that.

Bit busier than I'm used to, but it seems lovely. And lively. Endless possibilities when it comes to things to see or do.

I recall travelling through Pensacola on my last trip downward. Took Greyhound, and we hit many, many cities throughout FL.

I can't even imagine being on a bus all those hours. Bless your heart as they say in the south :D

I was going crazy checking every 5 minutes...then I decided that it will come when it comes...so stressful! I have to say, it's a relief to talk to people who are going through the same because others just don't understand!

WE HAVE GOT A TOUCH!!!! This is the first touch since April 23..So excited..

Hey,

I think your time is coming...those who said they got their NOA2's on Friday have received some notification or other :)

TiNa

Wish you were right my friend :(:( but we learned that we got the RFE today.I don't know what they will request exactly?

What a bummer. But as Tina&Roland said, at least they are working on your file. Just wait for the hardcopy of the RFE. In the meantime check your copy of the I-129F to see what it might possibly be so that you can send it as soon as you get the actual RFE notification. After that you will get the NOA2 sooner than you expect.

PEACE my friend.............

Tina&Roland and Victor&Cory;

Thank you very much for your concern and optimist views my friends.I will take your advice and check my copy of the I-129F.I think 'Request for Additional Evidence & Request for Initial Evidence' are different from each other,am I wrong? And ours is the second one,I mean 'Initial Evidence'.Not sure but just a thought,it's something about missing information.

Again thanks a lot my friends for taking the time to share your ideas here with me.

Hope is the best and I hope the best for all of us. :star:

How long have you know each other? Maybe thats why they want more proof,I hope I dont run into this problem, Me and Anya really will on have know each other for a year this Nov, But we are so in love and talk to each other every day of the week,We have cams on out computers and then she gets home from work Im just getting to work.We spend most of our free time chating and seeing each other,We have not stop doing this now for close to a year.If thats not love then I dont know what is.I hope they dont use that stupid 2 year thing because 2 years is crazy.Meny people fall in love in the first few week.

Hello Theglassguy,

Thanks for sharing your opinion but as an answer of your question,I have to say,I don't really think the RFE is about the time knowing each other like you thought, because we have known each other for 16 years ( I mean since November 1993)and there are photos which were taken in 1993 & 1994,family members' letters about our relation both between 1993-1995 and our coming reunion in 2007 etc...We have really a long story and it was written in details with proofs and sent them.

I think we sent all proofs about our hard relationship & deep love... I don't know what the missing info is..wait and see,I hope the hard copy of RFE'll come a.s.a.p...

Sam and Ben;

Thank you for your concern..I'm thinking the same reasons about RFE like you do,it's about something like missing signature, missing doc.,wrong date..etc. I've got nothing to do except waiting silently..but can't help wondering so much..!!!

I hope deeply, nobody'll run into this problem named RFE and get their NOA2 easily & quickly.

IMHO... and not trying to butt in... but.. the main thing is that you have met in person and have proof of that during the 2 year window prior to submitting your I-129f... so if your noa1 date is april 1st, 2009 you must have been physically together between the dates of, april 1st, 2007 ~ april 1st, 2009. if the last time you were together was march 30, 2007 you are outside the window and not valid..... that sux but it is the way the rule is written.

Dennis&Dane;I think there's some misunderstanding, I read what you've written but it doesn't suit us,therefore we are not outside the window as you've written..We met in 1993 and normally have known each other since November 1993 ,we had a relationship between 1993-1995 and then, after years again we have been together since September 2007 and we are in August 2009 and still together..we have a lot strong proofs.. and all of them were sent..I think it's clear..Thank you..

kathy, thanks for the pick me up, but i just found out that my fiance in China is a member of the CCP because of her job, so when we get to #3 and 4 we are looking at a 1-4 month delay for more background check, which will be given a blue slip at the interview. I am OK with that but her boy will be 21 in April and we might run out of time, this really hurts because it could take years for the boy to get a visa then, I am so sad, but i sure hope we all get our noa2 very soon

Hey Tom!!!

(Just because I don't know much about this part) If you have applied for him already, and if things do happen to take a while (God forbid), won't they go by his age at the time of the original application? What I asked may not make any sense. I don't know anything about the requirements for bringing children here. Common sense would say it they should go by his age at the time of the original application... but we are dealing with a system where a lot of things don't make sense. :wacko:

And again, don't give up hope. My mother and I were talking today about how we believe everything happens for a reason. So I said even if it takes two years to get Manuel here (Again, God forbid), it's okay. As long as he gets here. (Although the waiting is very hard. Because all of us want to be with the people we love and the system is VERY frustrating sometimes. )

Have a Blessed Day!!!

Keep in touch!

Kathy, hi again, I thought the same as you do, but I have read about how so many people have there children here and just before they turn 21 file for there green card and have it sit for the child to be out of the age limit, and then denied them because of there age. There are many cases in court over this same thing, and most if not all have won their case, but it takes time and money and the papers have to be filed for a change of status which can't be filed if she isn't here to get married and we file for her change of status also. I have been doing alot of research and all of it is troubleing.

I don't care so much about the extra time for them to do a greater background check on her, i just know that if we delay much, the boy will be 21 and then his mother will have to file a I-130 for her unmarried son and then it will take about 8 to 10 years for his visa. This just isn't right, but our goverment has no care or concern for family.

I can at anytime jump on a plane and go see my sweetheart, but I feel so sorry for her and the boy. Yes she will come to the USA without him but it just isn't right.

Tom
