I'm just North of Toronto, bummer we can't do the interview there instead of Montreal. I'm really not looking forward to that trip. Least there is a Dr in Toronto who does the medicals.....even though you have to be there at 7am! lol Where are you in Ontario?

Just outside of Windsor... So I get the four hour trip to Toronto for my medical, and the nine hour trip to Montreal! Not particularly looking forward to either of them..

But hey, at least hubby to be will be with me for Montreal. We're thinking about making a couple of days out of it. But that's quite the while away it seems..

Well....it sucks but it could be worse. I was reading about some people who were on the East coast....apparently there is only 3 Dr's in Canada. Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. I couldn't imagine having to make such a long trek twice or the stress of trying to do them both at the same time. I'm enough of a basket case.

Oh geez no, me either. My nerves couldn't handle the anxiety of waiting to do the medical just before the interview...

01/09/2010 - Married! Officially a Missis.

01/19/2010 - Received SSN in mail.

02/10/2010 - Sent I-485/I-131/I-765 to Chicago.

No sign of the NOA1, I have no idea Gemmie, I would like one, I want to be able to look our case up online (we didn't get a receipt number because we didn't have to pay a second time) and know that its actually there. Well thats a lie, I would just like to see our NOA2 Im over this whole process at this point.

Just wanted to pop in & let you know I'm thinkin of you & hope you get your petition processed quickly! You've been thru enough already. I remember you saying your were in US together on VWP so I hope your making the most of your time together. ;)

2/24/09: NA02 APPROVAL... finally, after 9 MONTHS & 8 DAYS!!

5/5/09 : Interview Date APPROVED!!!!

5/8/09: visa received

From NA01 to interview: 12 LONG MONTHS!!

07/23/09: received SSN

08/17/09: Passed Driving test

08/22/09: Married on beautiful Mackinac Island, MI

08/31/09: Mailed AOS Package

10/20/09: Received AP

10/21/09 Received EAD card

12/7/09 AOS APPROVED!

12/14/09: Green Card arrived in mail. Happy Days!

It's taken 18 months from applying for K1 to receipt of Green Card! Thank God it's over until 12/7/11

Here I am adding my name into the bunch. I sent the papers on April 16. They were received on April 17 and had our NOA1 on April 20. Hope to have news soon.

March 25, 2010 - Advance Parole approved..received on April 1 in the mail

March 29, 2010 - I-485 notice date, received on April 4, 2010

May 3, 2010 - EAD approved

May 5, 2010 - Date interview....approved

Thanks MonkeyJuice :) We are together at the moment which is awesome, and will be together till June so hopefully this time the being apart bit wont be too long :)

I just drove into the US for the first time since sending off the visa application. I've heard a few stories about extended questioning and the border officials wanting to see proof. I went to the border equipped with a letter from both my boss and my landlord stating when I would be returning but the guard simply asked "you aren't planning on getting married and staying in the US are you?" to which I replied "no - we're making no plans until we have a visa in our hands" and that was that.

Phew!!!

I hope everyone else is enjoying the wait as much as I am :P

We can't call them, with out a case number they won't speak to us about it on the phone. Chris was meant to have an appointment with them Wednesday but missed it due to work, he will be making on for this week that he can hopefully keep, I am really over this whole process....
