Haha, oh boy, I'd be sending a bouquet a week!

Went and applied for my police clearance today, so in a week I should have it in hand. Within the next couple of weeks, I should have everything prepared for Packet 3/4, so I can fire it off the same day I receive it in the mail.

(I'm busying myself with all of this to avoid making wedding plans... Shh.)

Edit: And welcome to the newcomers. :)

Oh my goodness I'm glad to see that someone else is avoiding wedding plans! I get so overwhelmed when I start talking about it, and my husband to be thinks everything is simple and we can take care of it all when he gets here...within the 90 days. It takes that long to just find a dress...for me anyway...hahaha. Men know nothing about wedding preperations...so cute.

Yes, my fiance is completely oblivious to anything involved in planning a wedding (yet expects me to know.. um, it's MY first marriage too... ). He, too, thought we could plan a wedding for fifty or so within the first two months of me being down there, invite everyone and be on our merry way... Haha. Riiiight. And he was very much against the idea of a quick civil ceremony first, which would allow us to plan the big celebration six months or so down the line... So now I'm in contact with various wedding coordinators, etc, and I don't want to deal with any of it yet!

Not to mention, it's Orlando... The capital of destination weddings without a pricetag! I wish.. So I definitely feel your pain.

Stupid question: I sent my I-129F packet in April, but my NOA-1 date is in May. So, does that make me an "April 2009 Filer" for purposes of this forum? Anyway, I wish the best of luck to all you April 2009 NOA-1'ers (I have a vested interest)!

So, it looks like the VSC is making solid progress with the March NOA-1's. Very encouraging.

Well, we probably won't bite you here either way, haha... But technically, in timeline sense, that would make you a May filer, as all timelines are based on NOA1 date.

However you're welcome to gripe with the rest of us here.

I'm thinking a rented beach house by the sea with a beautiful yard, nice lighting...around 50-70 people. Then....I thought about the weather! I can't plan anything, I don't know if it will be cold out, or raining...can't get married on the beach if it's raining! So frustrating. At least you don't have to worry about the cold, it's always warm in orlando! I just keep praying it will just come together in some magical way...haha.

True, in the wintertime, I don't have to worry about the weather at all. In the summertime, I simply couldn't have an outdoor wedding as it rains almost every single day. But, I get the added bonus of trying to plan it all from allllll the way up here. Somehow, I cringe at the idea of putting down deposits right now.

I know, double difficult for you trying to do it from there. I wish I was closer so I could at least help you in some way! A woman's opinon is different from a man's...haha. Everything looks good to Majid, which I guess is good. I know what you mean about the rain, same thing here...I hate it. Humid and nasty....could you imagine wearing a wedding dress is that...yuck. I'm scared to put a deposit on anything, but this is a smaller town so maybe I'll be lucky in that aspect....plus weddings slow down at the beach in the fall and winter. I have no clue why people like to get married here in June and July...haha.

Hehe.....don't worry my friend. Everybody is welcome here to post a rant or two about this process.

In another note.....my angel and me already agreed in that we can't plan a normal wedding in 90 days. We will have a civil marriage and then much later a religious one. 90 days is way too little to plan one and is a very small window.

PEACE my friends.................

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.

Haha, oh sure, we're criticized for being perfectionists... "Well hunny, you don't have to be THAT perfect with organizing all of that..." Haha, yeah, well when Mr. (or Mrs.) CO looks over at my amaaaaaazingly organized little folder (no longer a binder, ty Scott and Victor :) ) and comments on how neat it is and how easy it is to find everything, well.. I'm just going to grin.

I wish we could've agreed on the civil ceremony. Like there aren't enough tedious details to worry about without throwing in a day that will be cataloged in every photo album.

Oh do tell on how you organized the little folder, I have no clue what to do...I have to send something that will fit through a slotted window. Just another thing I have to worry about...haha.

My original was a massive binder... until someone pointed out about the window. :bonk:

Soooo... my new system, which I finished up this weekend, consists of something like this, with each section inside labelled, and the information in each section contained in a folder like this., to be easily removed and handed over.

It actually looks so much better now, plus it'll be easier to carry, as it'll be closed when not in use. No worries about everything falling out in my frantic rush.

Well....let me explain how I'm doing it. I have an expandable briefcase that looks amazing once you open it. It has dozens and dozens of pocket inside. So what I did? I separated everything in folders. The I-129F copy in one folder, tax returns with their W-2 in another folder, phone records with each folder covering a separate month, emails, snail mails, etc.

I bought folders that are easy to disassemble in case you need to take something out. I bought them at either Wal-Mart or Officemax.

So in short.....inside the briefcase everything is organize in separate folders and each pocket labeled for easy findings. I show it to my angel and she was amazed. hehehehe.

I will try to post some photos of it tomorrow when I get to my office.

PEACE my friends..............

p.s: I guess Sam and Ben posted before I finished mine. hehehe. Sorry
