WOW!!!!!! I'm really happy for you too. It all paid off at the end. And as you said....if they don't answer in 30 days someone is going to spend some vacations in the fridge.

Congratulations to you.

PEACE..............

FYI to all April Filers - I called the USCIS today and they said that the best case scenario (assuming the application has no RFEs) for reviewing and approving petitions filed in April was 3 months from now (middle of October). She reiterated, as other people have already stated here, that they are focused on December applications at the moment.

Middle of October??? Grrrrrr!!!!!!!

SvenSki, if you add your timeline to VJ's database, it will not only allow you to view an estimation as to when your case will be approved, but also help in adding to the statistics used for the estimates of the rest of us. :)

Yes I plan on adding it soon..just need to spend some time and figure out how to do it ;)

Hello Chris. How's it going? What about your case? You think that USCIS will take the full 30 to answer? I'm biting my nails here waiting to hear the final decision. I really hope is good and that they don't wait till the end of the 30 days. They have already taken their sweet time in this process. Is time they finish it.

Good luck.

Wow, every day I read that someone from csc has received there noa2 all within 3 to 4 months, isn't there anything that can be done? Maybe it just the people in Vermont, they come to work at 9:00 take a smoke break go to there cube, go get coffee, then it is break time which is 15 minutes but they take 30 minutes getting back to there cube, they then pick up a file, but then there cell phone ring and it is there son or daughter, they talk, then it is lunch time. After a hour lunch it time to go to work again, well i need not have to tell you what happens then, another call, a break, then they look a another file but it is to late to do anything with that file untill the next day. That is how alot of people work here in Florida, as I just moved here 2 years ago and have seen so much of it.

Hi everyone,

We filed April 23rd, VCS, and yippie, i see march filers have begun, closer and closer, yes!

My love is coming to the US for the very first time, August 1st, I'll pick him up at JFK.

He is only bringing our NOA1 receipt, and return flight receipt, hope that is enough.

I flew to Heathrow in March, before we filed, and was asked a few questions at entry: why are you here, "visiting friends".

How do you know them, "internet"

He went on to say, along the lines, how unsafe that could be, lol

I assured him we spoke a long while and I was quite confident.

He asked where i was staying and I had booked an apartment rental for 5 days, he questioned that, i showed him my receipt and explained it was an alternative to hotel accomodations, lol.

And I also had to tell him I had 3 children back home, and was enrolled in a course, produced my paper with that info on it too.

I didn't know you could be turned away so I wasn't nervous about that, just a little embarrassed having to answer all those questions, lol.

So I hope Tom doesn't have any problems coming through JFK.

He is staying 4 weeks but we were contemplating him staying the full 90 days allowed in hope that we get our NOA2 before he has to leave end of October, and he'd go back for the medical and interview.

Hopeful and positive thinking we are, lol.

I am so thankful for finding this site, it is a Godsend.

Best wishes to all

Is interesting. When I went to Romania to see my angel I wasn't asked anything. Wasn't even stopped neither in Amsterdam or Romania. But on the trip back, before leaving Amsterdam I was asked a lot of questions. The one that almost made me laugh was after saying that I was in Romania in vacations the lady asked me "Why Romania?" I almost said...."Because I wanted to go there.....any other bright questions?" hehehehe.

But no. I answered that I was there visiting my fiancee. I showed her my angel's photo in my cell phone as well as her engagement ring. She just smiled, said she was very beautiful and said "No more questions. Have a nice flight".

And that was it. hehehe. What an adventure.

PEACE.............

When Ben came to visit me in Canada the first time, the border patrol actually called my cell to verify who he was/whether or not I was comfortable with him coming to visit me and stay with me before they would let him through. He didn't require any documentation outside of his return itinerary.

When I hopped over, though, for a two week stay (which I did extend to a three week stay, hehe), they gave me issues enough with my huge packet of information. It can be rather random with who they choose to wring through with the eighty questions... but better to be overly prepared and not have to use it than have him turned away. I'd bring whatever evidence you could possibly use as ties back to his country.
