Packet: Never received. The consulate was nice enough to send us a letter via email, along with a list of approved doctors and translators. My fiance can easily pick up the forms required when he goes for his medical and translations.

*Update 11/26/09* Medical complete! Picking up the packet was smooth and easy! One week until our interview!! Can't wait!!

Call from embassy to go pick up his passport with visa!: 12/11/09

It really should be! It DOES cause a bit of panick when you haven't received anything, but it's simple to fix.

I've noticed alot of people with the same problem. I feel like mine was a postal issue...I sent him a birthday card a month and a half ago and he still hasn't received it...hahaha.

"Wow" I just called DOC and they said my fiance interview dat is Dec 28 at 7:15, one day before my daughters 28 birthday. I all so wrote the chief at the embassy a letter explaining our concerns about this CCP and told him about others getting a blue slip and a list of questions to answer. He wrote back the very next day and said, yes this could cause a delay, that it all depends on the interviewer, but to bring this letter she had written and the questions and her answers to these question both in chinese and english, as it will not hurt to do so, that it could make a difference. Things are looking up.
