Yup I hear you...this is supposed to be the fast part of the process. Montreal has been getting slower and slower since we started this process. Even more difficult watching other Consulates hand out interviews in 2 weeks.

Yep, total agreement with you there. Having to wait just as long between my NOA2 and interview date as I did between my file date and NOA2 indicates a major issue with our consulate.

Should I be calling NVC tosee if they have my noa2 now? Anyone have that number? Yes my undserstanding is that China is very slow, but I can wait, I just hope nothing happens at NVC. I am not sure who to call at this point.

Here is NV'S Phone number :-) 603-334-0700, Just make sure you have correct DOB of your fiancee and her name. If i am not wrong they are open till midnight. (eastern time)

They're open quite late - I believe the latest I've called is 11pm EST.

They'll ask your name, your fiancee's name, and both of your date of births, along with the receipt number. Just ask what the status is and they should be able to let you know whether it's caught up in any additional processing, or if it's ready to be sent on its way.

Good luck!

Congratulations...sure, you can call the NVC and see if they have your case. They are open until midnight...the # is (603) 334-0700. You can enter your USCIS case # into the automated system if you want and if it comes up it means they have it. If they do, then you can call back and act like you have a rotary phone and you will get an operator and get your NVC case #...or just do that to start out with...good luck!

Ok, so I'm slow...lol. I just saw all the other responses...that will teach me to respond before reading ahead! Hope you got good news!

Hello everyone-

Things have been quiet here. I hope everyone is doing well.

We are just two days away from our interview. Everything is ready for the interview on Weds morning. My fiancee even has her bags packed and is essentially living out of a suitcase until it is time to fly. Her family has picked up everything else she is leaving behind. I already have most of her things here in the USA anyway. I'm so excited to have her here!

Hi everyone,

I've just discovered that I need a police certificate for the 3 years that I lived in the US...does anyone know how I get one...thanks

Amanda

You don't need police certificates for time spent in the US. That's all covered by the checks that USCIS, NVC, and the embassy run on you in the course of the process.

The only exception to this would be if you were arrested during the time that you were in the US. If so, you'll need certified copies of the arrest records (and court records, if any) showing the disposition of the case.

Improved USCIS Form G-325A (Biographic Information)

Form field input font changed to allow entry of dates in the specified format and to provide more space for addresses and employment history. This is the 6/12/09 version of the form; the current version is 8/8/11, but previous versions are accepted per the USCIS forms page.

Hey gang, you are going to like this one, I wrote and told you that i got a email Oct.6 withnoa2, so I just called today NVC and they told me that my packet was sent to Guz in China on the 29 of Sept., I told her, I just got my email on the 6 of Oct. stating of my noa2, she siad she didn't know why. O well so I went to the mail box and there was my hard copy, it said my approval date was Sept 21, all of this time of me waiting and they finaly get off there behinds and send out my noa 16 days later. I call DOC and they told me that Guz in China hasn't yet received or open my packet yet, so I wounder how long it will be for #3 to get to my fiance and then when will she get a interview date. So now we all know what kind of system we were working with. No good, no good at all.
