Congrats to the new approvals. I'm so happy for you guys :))

Hey guys how is it going??/ I have a quistion to those that have all ready got there hard copy? How long did it take for your hard copy to get the Consulate Office??

I called the Visa Center and have told me it is all ready been sent by DHL on the 1, So thats been 4 working days. But DhL flys on the weekend. So how much time should I give them before i call to try and set up the interview??

My packet took like 3-4 days I can't say exactly because when I called the embassy they toldme they had already sent packer 3 to me. After i got it I had to get all the papers for the interview together and then call them when i was ready to set up the interview date. I dint have to send all the papers back to them I have to take all of them with me to the interview. It seems to be pretty easy at our embassy.

Good luck

Tom your biggest wait that you may need to mentally prepare yourself for is how long things are held up by the chinese consulate, they don't let people go lightly over there so it may take you a few more weeks then others to schedule an interview. I hope that for you this is not the case.

Chris and I picked up a marriage license on Monday, and then removed our K1 application on Tuesday from USCIS. Our intention is to get married over the weekend and file our CR1 for the USA (which we are apparently allowed to expedite according to the Chief of Staff at USCIS) and our Spouse visa for Australia at the end of next week.

Thank you all for the support in here, and if you want I can keep you updated as to how we end up, but otherwise drop into the August 08 file or 6 month filers where I will keep everyone updated.

Good luck to everyone on their journeys and I hope that nobody gets caught up in one like mine (as interesting as this story is going to be for our kids one day its not a whole lot of fun to live).

I wish you the best of luck, Mara. Hopefully they do allow an expedite... or that Australia goes quickly for you. It's been far, far too long for you both.

Far as I'm concerned, this wait is most painful now. The consulate has our packet 3, and it will sit there for another 4-6 months while we wait for an interview to filter through the backlog. Knowing that we are simply waiting for a date - no RFE, nothing else - is hardest, I find.

Yup I hear you...this is supposed to be the fast part of the process. Montreal has been getting slower and slower since we started this process. Even more difficult watching other Consulates hand out interviews in 2 weeks.

Mara I hope you get pleasently surprised and it gets expedited through so quickly it makes your head spin....you guys deserve it!

Yep, total agreement with you there. Having to wait just as long between my NOA2 and interview date as I did between my file date and NOA2 indicates a major issue with our consulate.

Should I be calling NVC tosee if they have my noa2 now? Anyone have that number? Yes my undserstanding is that China is very slow, but I can wait, I just hope nothing happens at NVC. I am not sure who to call at this point.
