:lol: not as bad...YET! Fortunately i always like to make sure that i'm stocked with wine at home, just in case of situations like this :P fortunately, LCBO has not yet decided to strike...we will see.

Oct 30, 2002 - We met in Toronto while he was visiting on a business trip from the US

Dated until early 2004 and then distance became an issue

Sept 16, 2007 - He initiated contact with me after almost 4 years!

Jan 2008 - He came to Toronto to visit and see if there was still 'something' there

Feb 28, 2009 - He proposed in front of my family in our condo in Toronto!!!

May 13, 2009 - sent in I-129F (Lawyer is handling our process)

May 15, 2009 - received receipt of NOA1

September 16, 2009 - NOA2!!!

Nov 4/09 - sent packet 3

Nov 25/09 - info logged in system

Interview date - March 22, 2010!!! ***APPROVED!!!***

POE @ Queenston/Lewiston - April 4th, 2010

The LCBO is going on strike? :o

I remember when the beer store went on strike. I was everybody's new best friend because one of my best friend's worked for an independent brewery. :lol:

There's a good chance they will. Yesterday there was hour long line ups just to get in the store, bars and restaurants are spending thousands as they are worried of a long lasting strike. The LCBO has already run dry at some locations

Wow... my fiance' will be glad he "got out" in time! :lol: No LCBO, are ya kidding me?? A strike??? Yeesh.

LCBO on strike? Omg. Life as we know it will never be the same! My hometown is going to crumble.

I never did understand why the LCBO always closes at 9. It was quite inconvienent.

Some of the ones where I lived stayed open till 10:00pm! AND they had free wine and snacks. :lol:

The LCBO by my place is amazing...it's the HQ by the Lakeshore. I love to just go and browse the vintage section and they do give out snacks and wine :P

One of the main ones where I'm from have a beautiful test kitchen where you can sign up for the food and wine pairings. I'm lucky to have found a wine boutique here in my town where the owner and I have become good friends. One day I popped in there and she shouts "Just in time! Here, grab a bar stool. The wine reps from Israel are here to do some samplings." :lol: It was awesome. Turns out one of the reps had something in common with my husband and we got a personal invite to do a tour of the winery. Not sure when I'll next be in Israel, though. :hehe:
