Everyone just needs to move to chicagos suburbs. What I like to call Arabville...lol.. Im thankful we dont have that problem. Lots to do. Lots of friends to meet.

Good luck on your sons surgery Tasha. Im sure he will be fine. <3

Zaid is on day 2 of no bottles and no formula and he is taking it like a trooper. I thought he would throw a fit last night in bedbut instead he laid there in the dark for 35 mins and sang himself a song. It was soo sweet. Lots of sweet girly sounding "ahhhhhhhhhhs" and "dadadadadadad" but he was definitly singing it. My musical boy. He turns 1 on April 29th. :(

Wishing everyone a great weekend!!

Awesome Kelly! I can't believe he will be 1!!

Our spring breaks are different here since the schools take the week after Patriot's Day instead of the week of Easter off. The first weekend of that week hubby and I are going to NYC for two nights. I'm looking around now but I can't decide whether to stay in Jersey City so we'll have the nice view from our room or stay in Midtown East so we'll be in the middle of everything. Prices are about the same so I have some thinkin' to do. :)

I would say stay in NYC as getting in from Jersey City can be annoying at times. Being in the center of everything is the way to go...

omg Dorothy I completely forgot you live there! I'll have to contact you so we can possibly meet up!

Please do so - I would love to meet up with you if you have some free time!!!

Good Afternoon

Well we live on the outskirts of a major city and I would say that where we live and around it is not boring at all.

It will just take sometime for hubby to learn his whereabouts so he can pick and choose what he wants to do in his spare time.

Right now he still fully relies on me. Our public transit is excellent too! He is managing that to work and back which is nice.

I guess he is bored cuz he doesnt know many people here and they all would work all day anyway. He is in security so his hours are

contrary to the normal schedule. We have done plenty since he has come here and with the weather breaking we have too many plans for what we would like to do outdoors. Humpkin...we are also a planning a NYC trip too, in May...it isn't definite but in the works.

Tasha....prayers from me for your little guy.

Gosh Kelly, one year went by quick

You guys have a great weekend. I haven't much planned but my mother wants to take her grand daughters to get an Easter pix on Sunday.

So we will be going to do that. Otherwise I am just ready for some R n R but also I have way too many chores to do around the apt.

Happy Friday All!

I am excited I sent the papers in to remove conditions and they were received on March 28 and April 1 the check was processed through my bank. I am thinking this is a good sign. Is there a way to check on the computer as it has been awhile since I have had to track any progress on papers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yay - Friday-yayness!

I'm in a chippy mood today because... we can finally start mailing off the AOS papers! Before we do, does anyone have any recommends/suggestions that we might have missed? I'm not even sure if we will apply for the AP. Everyone says, "why not!" .... but, I have no idea HOW to fill that form out -- specifically the questions asking "what are plans, when, where??" that sort of thing.... how does one say "Well, this is just-in-case for emergency trip outside of the states?"

Anyhow -- I hope ALL of you have a great weekend! The spring is in the air. :)

Re: boring city -- we live in San Diego county.... SOMETIMES it's boring. I LOVE it tho (imagine, walking down to the beach and just... lay out in the sun). The fun stuff are a drive away... Pacific Beach, downtown etc. It's cool... but sometimes it bugs me, especially when it comes to the expenses needed. And also, we both don't know many people locally. So we're trying to do stuff thru Meetup.com So far, he has done some pick-up soccer and met up with his former co-worker and friends. We may start doing a routine of heading out to the local coffeehouse or local spots to make us familiar -- that way possibly make friends that way.

We do look forward to when he is able to get back to working. For now, he's househubby :) A good one, I must say!

Morning everyone! Happy Friday! It is a yucky yucky day here today....rain, wind.....BLAH!

We live in a horribly boring place (near Lexington, KY)...poor hubby, he gets so bored but he is taking it like a trooper. I keep telling him we won't be here forever and things will improve. I wish I knew when though, I don't like it here either. Sometimes I regret quitting my job in NC to go be with him and his family for the 3 months, maybe things would be easier on us right now- money wise and boredom wise. But then I remember his mom and grandparents, and I know I did the right thing even if it sucks right now.

Anyhoo....y'all have a great day and weekend!

Do you live in Lexington, KY and work In North Carolina? those stat are too far from each other
