Hey everybody! Happy Friday! I am off work next week for spring break. One of my son's is having a procedure on Tuesday so remember the little guy in your prayers.

Does anybody live in a boring place? If so is your MENA man hating it? What can I do? I am a busy mom with kiddo, work, house and wifey responsbilities. Last night one of his buddies says that he hates Ohio...well, well, well....we can't move just for that reason. I have a great job with good pay and we have a nice home. Maybe things will work out better when he gets a steady job. BTW....the man he worked for that few days...basically did a slave labor thing...paid him 4 bucks an hour to stand and cook....one day it wasn't even that much money.

Morning everyone! Happy Friday! It is a yucky yucky day here today....rain, wind.....BLAH!

We live in a horribly boring place (near Lexington, KY)...poor hubby, he gets so bored but he is taking it like a trooper. I keep telling him we won't be here forever and things will improve. I wish I knew when though, I don't like it here either. Sometimes I regret quitting my job in NC to go be with him and his family for the 3 months, maybe things would be easier on us right now- money wise and boredom wise. But then I remember his mom and grandparents, and I know I did the right thing even if it sucks right now.

Anyhoo....y'all have a great day and weekend!

Rise -n- Shine, so glad it's Friday!it was one long week this week. It looks like it's going to be an all day rain today. Nagi, make sure your keep your umbrella with you.

I will! I have to go to the Arabian Village later, same as every week seeing as it is only 4 minutes away from me. It's rather soggy out, wouldn't you say?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

My husband lived in Cairo all his life. He would normally work evenings and go out to play around 2 to 3 am and always there would be tons of people around sitting gabbing in the cafe's. Now he lives in our small town where restaurants close at 10pm, no one is walking the beach after that time, even in the summer and the birds replace the sound of the honking horns of the taxis in Cairo. Yes, he is bored. We plan to move to a busy city, not the suburb of a city, as soon as Megan is in college. We narrowed it down to : Cairo, Rome, NYC or Miami. Looking towards the future helps him (and me) to have something to look forward to.

Our spring breaks are different here since the schools take the week after Patriot's Day instead of the week of Easter off. The first weekend of that week hubby and I are going to NYC for two nights. I'm looking around now but I can't decide whether to stay in Jersey City so we'll have the nice view from our room or stay in Midtown East so we'll be in the middle of everything. Prices are about the same so I have some thinkin' to do. :)

Megan turns 12 on April 7 and Emily turns 13 on April 11 so for a few days they'll be the same age. (megan loves this but emily hates it! lol) I can't believe I'm going to have a teenager!!!

Everyone just needs to move to chicagos suburbs. What I like to call Arabville...lol.. Im thankful we dont have that problem. Lots to do. Lots of friends to meet.

Good luck on your sons surgery Tasha. Im sure he will be fine. <3

Zaid is on day 2 of no bottles and no formula and he is taking it like a trooper. I thought he would throw a fit last night in bedbut instead he laid there in the dark for 35 mins and sang himself a song. It was soo sweet. Lots of sweet girly sounding "ahhhhhhhhhhs" and "dadadadadadad" but he was definitly singing it. My musical boy. He turns 1 on April 29th. :(

Wishing everyone a great weekend!!

I would say stay in NYC as getting in from Jersey City can be annoying at times. Being in the center of everything is the way to go...
