Hi,

My I-130 was completed on 4-1-2009 the recording states to allow 8 weeks. Does anyone know how long it really takes and what to expect next. I'm new with the whole process.

I think I posted the info somewhere. Anyway, it will not take 8 weeks. Most likely, in next 10 days you will have some news about Visa interview date.

NVC scheduales interviews the first 2 weeks of the month so you could in fact have an interview as soon as next month depending on the back-log of the embassy

DONT wait to hear of the interview date from something you recieve in the mail...call NVC EVERYDAY at 603-334-0700...as soon as hear the automated system answer SELECT 1...then select 5 and wait to speak to an operator...you can learn of the interview date the same day it is assigned...GOOD LUCK
