Matt,

We are so happy for you and Anh!!!

Can you give us some more details on some of the evidence you submitted?

Did you send both types of IRS tax forms?

How many emails and chats? Did you show emails from the beginning of the relationship up until the end?

Did they ask her about the Dam Hoi?

What did you make copies of and how many?

Did you supply the orginal bank statements, paystubs, w-2s or just copies?

How about translations and single status papers? Were they needed?

What was wrong with the way you had the papers organized that the woman didn't like?

I have one 1" binder with sheet protectors inside with labels on each sheet of what is inside for the papers she will turn in first. I used the same approach for the other evidence as well.

Thanks so much for the info. We hope to follow thru with the same results whenever USCIS gets their butts in gear and gets our papers back where they belong.

Matt, I sincerely hope you would take what I am about to say seriously. Tell Anh to leave immediately. At the most, give her a week to pack. Also, tell her not to say anything to anyone, especially to her neighbors and friends. There have been many situations where jealousy friends, neighbors and former boyfriends called the Consulate people and told them the cases were fraud. Immediately, the Consulate would revoke the visas without any proper investigation. You two have made this far, there is no need for any problems anymore. Trust me, this type of incident does happen and you do not want it to happen to you. Good luck

I used to be indecisive. Now I am just not sure ...

No need to wait for Matt and Anh's neighbor in VN, if people on this site dislikes him in any way, they can email the Consulate and falsely accuse their relationship as well Kevin!

Matt, take Kevin's advice, get her out of the country ASAP. Tell her do not celebrate with friends and family in a big way, just have a small family dinner and pack her suitcase, get on EVA Airline and come to the US now.

Kim left VN within 10 days of her Visa. ONLY her family knew about her departure and VJ family hahahaha

I have always been wondering what our fiancee's had to do before leaving the country. Is there any paper work involved with her government letting them know she is leaving the country?

If she owns any property, she must go to her Ward Office (Phuong) to transfer the property to someone she would like to have it (motobike, house, land). If she does not, the property would be considered abandenced and the government will take ownership of it. Or worse, if she didn't do that step, later on, when her family wants to register the property, they will lose it also.

If she's registered as regular resident in her parent's home, she needs to unregistered herself from the "SO HO KHAU" (Family Registration Book) and turn in her Certificate of Citizen (Chung Minh Nhan Dan) Card to them as well.

Or, just go if she doesn't own anything and wants to keep the CMND card :)

:( There is simply no way she will leave right now. Her family needs her income for at least another 4 weeks. She makes more than her parents combined and wants to give them 90% of what she earns before she leaves. Anh has told all of her friends about the visa and her family is telling EVERYBODY!

I wish I knew about all of this beforehand. I would have kept the interview date and visa success a secret. There is at least one person on this board who really dislikes me. My God, I am now a complete baskit case. I wish no one had said anything. I'm so nervous that I am sick to my stomach. I thought this was all over. #######!

Mike, the only evidence she gave was photos. He didn't ask for anything else after that. He said it was enough. He had made up his mind early in the interview.

Also, I should add that if Anh comes now it will be a real mess. I am packing up my house and about to move. I will live with a relative for the month of August. Anh would be stuck living with me in a bad situation for that time. What a mess it would be. :(

worry? don't be, there always @$$hole no matter where you are.... the advice we gave you is just a precaution, not based on our own experience but from other's. I do not know your situation well, but if i were you i would do all i can to get her here THEN worry about the money thing later.

Kim lived at my parents home for 28 days after she arrived in the US. She lived! :) it was a culture thing for my family where we could not sleep in the same house before we were married. But it worked! Having her living with you while you're moving, doesn't matter in my opinion, it is more fun to have your honey next to you while you are going through all and all... together is the key here Matt. For the money part, you can always send money back to her parents when she is here, again, just my own opinion.

all and all, the more you are worried about some one on this board could sabotage your journey, the more you want to get her out.

I wish you two the best and prayer is started already...

You guys are too paranoid. The consulate already agreed to the visa. They won't revoke it. But, you should have Anh get all the ownership transfered to someone quickly. It takes a long time for that to be done plus those people will try to rip you off if they know you are in a hurry.

Well. All my joy and happiness has been blown out of the water. Why was none of this said long ago? This frankly sounds highly unlikely.

And I just talked to Anh and it is impossible for her leave now. She won't do it. First of all she thinks it's ridiculous and could never happen. Second and most important, he mother is in Hanoi and will not be back to Saigon until late in July, so if I cannot get her onto the next flight out then what is the point? We will have to stick to the plan.

Does anyone know FOR SURE that this has happened? Or is it just rumor and repeating of information you have heard?
