My point, Mike - is that not everyone who thought Gen. Petraeus' report on Iraq was political, endorsed that ad from MoveOn.org and that's not even what I was talking about. Those who openly questioned the General's truthfulness were labeled as traitors.

The MoveOn.org ad came out BEFORE Petraeus testifed before Congress. They didn't give him a chance so it's ok to condemn jerks like Moveon.

The funny thing is one political party wanted no restrictions on the border (or in the U.S.) for years but now suddenly it's all America's fault Mexican drug gangs are shooting each other. The border is fairly porous and how liberals and gun rights types will scream if Americans are throughly seached before entering Mexico.

Well, the argument isn't whether we want smuggling to continue, but whether we can truly stop it. If heroin, cocaine and marijuana became legal commodities, we'd effectively cause the drug cartels to become extinct. The same concept with person smuggling themselves into this country. Remove the motivation and it won't be a problem that it has been.

most americans i know do a thorough search of their vehicles so they don't wind up in jail. even one bullet will get you in hot water.
