That seems an awfully long time to wait for your green card. I would give them a call and find out what's going on (if you haven't yet)!

Also, it doesn't matter that your K1 isn't in your passport as it's invalid anyway. You're currently out of status if your green card hasn't been approved. What you need to get back in the US is your AP document - have you at least received that yet? If not, I strongly advise you to rethink your trip to the UK - you should have been given proper instruction to NOT leave the US unless you have your green card in hand or the travel document.

I completely agree with what Gemmie has said. You have been waiting a long time now and people who filed a long time after you have received their GC. If you filed in April you are currently out of processing times and if you call, they should be able to look in to what is happening with your case.

Have you signed up for the website updates?

Have you moved since you filed your petition.

Did you receive an RFE?

It is imperative that you do not leave until the travel papers or GC are in hand. If you travel to the UK before this, your AOS will be deemed to have been abandoned and you will have to apply for a spousal visa. This will mean living apart until another visa is granted.

I just wanted to say it's great seeing the progress you all have made. Lots of good news to catch up on.

EEEEEEEEEeeeee Magpie!!! Love you Sunshine.

I have been so sick and had to go back to the hospital shortly after being dismissed earlier in the month. I'm still on antibiotics and narcotics but home again as of yesterday. They said it will take a long time for this big infection in the belly to heal with just antibiotics but that's the goal, so I'm going to take it very slowly and hope things continue to heal.

Good luck to everybody waiting. May you have tons of patience while you wait. (L)

I have got my AP - again in my married name! I did sign up for the website to and it was looked at October 19th, but is still awaiting processing. No RFE... (yet!) I tried calling but I couldn't figure out the options to get through to a real person! Plus it said 6 months from date of transferral or so I thought. Maybe it was 6 months from date of AOS? I didn't want to call if I was still within processing times....I guess I will try and call again later today. Does anyone have the number to speak to someone? Thanks for your help!

AP is fine in the married name. All you need to do is have a copy of your marriage cert to prove name change. All of us gals will be in that situation with regard to passport vs greencards vs AP docs.

It's from the time you sent it in. That should be the date counted from. That's when you submitted it. When they transferred is nothing to do with you it was their decision to do so.

The number I found was 1-800-767-1833. I have never had to give them a call but i am sure you'll get the options board again. See if there is an option at the end to get an operator. Dont be fobbed off by the people they get to answer the phones. I filed in late August and have just had my GC approved. You should be much further along in

the process by now than you currently are. You are way outside of processing times for your EAD.

I called... they said we're a few days outside processing time but they now have to get back to us within 45 days.... hoping it's sooner rather than later!!

They use big, padded time periods when it comes to getting back to you. Hopefully you'll hear back from them within a week :D.

EEEEEEeeeeee! Huggums, Nich -- I luffs you too! Please look after yourself :( and take it easy until you know for sure it's healed.

Wooo! I get to change my middle name when I get my GC, and then my name in my UK passport.

hi guys!

I had my biometrics in Grand Rapids last thursday, it was empty! I wish I had known I probably could have gone earlier, there was literally only me and another person in the building! I got my EAD card today. I was not expecting that! But the people in the office were very nice and helpful. I know someone who had to go to the Detroit office to get their biometrics done.. and ended up going twice because the machine didnt work
