Wow, what a busy few days!!

Congrats to everyone on their approvals. Magpie, I'm sure your interview will go just fine. I'm surprised they want you for interview though. Just take everything you can to show you have a life together (wedding pictures, letters from family, joint account and utility deetz).

I did my biometrics today. :D It went really well, the guy just went on about the Wicked show as he did them. I didn't get to see my picture so that will be an unpleasant surprise. I also got a touch on my AOS yesterday (maybe in preparation for my biometrics, I dunno). Feeling happy with how the process is going. I *love* knowing what's going on!

Eeeeeeee, omg!

Got an interview letter for the 20th October! Ahhhhhhhhh! What do I take? It says just to take the letter, my passport, and any supporting evidence in support of the application, like joint back account statements! Do I need anything else? It doesn't mention my birth certificate! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

A Flustered Magpie.

Good Luck, I'm sure everything will be fine. :)

Thankums everyone :D. Thing is, the only thing we really have in both our names is our joint bank account...aside from that, I could bring things along that show that we share the same place of residence (plus LOTS of pictures, which I have). I've also got photos of being with his family, so I wonder if I might take some of those along, too (and a couple of myself, Knight, his brother, and his dad).

And Gemmie, have you seen Wicked? -- it was so much fun! Saw it in the UK just a month or so before I came over here. It's quite special for me and my close friend (who's like a sister to me), and she compiled a lovely CD for me before I left. A couple of the songs from the musical are on there :D.

I think what you have is fine, a joint bank account proves you have something in both names, anything that shows you are living at the address you gave and family pictures. I've read that they might look at the pics and ask who the people are in them to show you know the in laws etc but other than that I think they will just see a happy couple in love :)

I think you'll be fine with that. I don't have anything other than joint account either with both names on. That's the problem when you live with the parents, I guess, they'll understand.

Nah, I didn't get to see Wicked before I left, even though tickets were going from 15 quid! How cute of your friend to do that. :)

The guy at biometrics was like "I think it's a prequel but it could be a sequel.. I don't know if it's the witch of the West or the one that got killed by the house". Then Bill pointed out that it CAN'T be a sequel if it was the Witch from the East, since she died and all. :P

Hi, I was just curious if anyone is having a slow timeline like us. We applied 8/14, we got the NOAs right away but since then everything has gone so slow. We did biometrics about a month ago and we have heard nothing about AP or EAD approval. We have received an interview appt for late Nov. Do you think that we are just unlucky or is something wrong that we need to check on? We are just so frustrated with him not being able to work at all. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm really surprised that you haven't at least heard something on the AP, which tends to come through before the EAD. Your biometrics was a day before mine, but then.....I was really shocked by how quickly it did all happen and was not expecting my EAD approval until about now.

You could contact them to express you surprise that, to date, no progress has been made on your case nearly one month after biometrics, but expect the standard "call back when it has been 3 months since you filed response" which I am sure is frustrating, but technically they dont have to do anything until then.

Have you signed up to the website for updates on your case?

It IS backwards! It should be card production and then decision / post decision activity...or be named something different because at the moment that heading signifies when something is mailed to you. It did that with my EAD card and 2 days later it arrived in the mail.

Sounds like your welcome information has been mailed......I remember Hannah posting something about the difference between the 30 and 60 days when she was approved.

:D Thankums again for the advice and support, everyone -- it's muchly appreciated.

Gemmie, yes, it was the Wicked Witch of the East I think who died first (and the "Wicked" Witch of the West survives, sssh! She's not that wicked). My step-sister-in-law's hubby, who actually immigrated here (and is living in Oregon) when he was four, gave lots of advice; he said to bring lots of photos, and signed letters from family members to verify that the relationship is legitimate.

Woo, Ellie and David! Sounds like it's on the way, in any case. They usually ballpark how long it's going to take with most things, and pad the timeframe enough so that they don't say a week and have you waiting for two. Congratulations :D.

To npearce124, I personally got my AP and EAD quickly after biometrics and then was waiting a bit for any notifications on the AOS. I think it all depends on the application. I wouldn't worry about it -- they might just be a little slow.

:D I'm going to go get documents together for tomorrow, and put out another job application. Eeeeeeeee!

Magpie.
