I had an update on my AOS this morning - but I think it was just a touch plus it changed the wording to say my case has arrived at CSC and is being processed. Just seemed a bit odd I wasn't expecting anything. Ah well, at least the email/mobile updates worked this time!

I had a text and email this morning saying that mine was at CSC too. I only received notification of the transfer yesterday morning - by letter - so it's kind of nice that they followed it up. The status on the new whizzy website changed from acceptance to Initial Review on the I-485, but still no touches on the AP and EAD a week after the biometrics.

Weird! Still nothing for me on my I-485...but hey :D the EAD and AP are through. Some of the jobs out here sound brilliant, but they all ask for some kind of experience I don't have . Happily, though, my step-mum-in-law was explaining that even if I do have bachelor's from the UK, it still equates a bachelor's up here (and it's a bachelor's of science), and that already puts me on good footing. But there's also the iffy bit where I can't work in any jobs that require some kind of security clearance, so poo.

I think I'm leaning toward the State of Alaska Natural Resources thing...

:D Thankums, guys. Now comes the tricky part. Having spoken to various people up here, because this is Alaska, we don't have any business headquarters, and it's more of an industrial-oriented state than business; those types of company centres are in Oregon or California (or the rest of the lower 48). I might start with banks instead, because there's enough of those locally that need people...

Congrats KnightandMagpie! I can't wait to get my EAD card, my life has become very restricted because of it, I can't get a driving licence because of state law, I can't work, I've been cooked up inside the house and I am looking forward to stretching my legs again.

:( that's so sad! There's nothing to stop anybody getting a driver's license here, unless you don't have an SSN. And believe you me, I've been going nuts having to rely on everyone else for transportation because there's no real bus service out here. There's no way to get to Anchorage without a vehicle, especially once the winter hits. I hope you get your EAD card soon!

Shouldn't be too much longer, Jim&Christy.

I got my letter today (just a few days after getting the NOA1) giving me an appointment for my biometrics. It's on October 17th. I thought it was kinda weird that it was on a Saturday for some reason, and also it's in Rhode Island, but I guess they figured out that I'm closer to Providence than Boston. Either way, I'm so excited. This journey is moving so quickly already! :D

Most Application Support Centers seem to operate on a Tuesday - Saturday week and have Sunday/Monday off. I'll add you Biometrics date to the spreadsheet.

Thanks guys, I've bookmarked the spreadsheet.

Also, my husband has an interview today for another part-time job (he works in the housing business and when business increases, his manager will make him full-time). Things seem to be looking up. :)

EAD and AP approved!

Very happy and it certainly wasn't too long was it? I hope UK filers around my NOA date have had theirs come through late Friday evening.
