Congratulations everyone who's moving forward

2 questions

Which form do I need for the medical? Will the surgeon have them or should I take it filled in for him to complete?

Where do I find out which location to mail everything to I am in VA?

Thanks

I'm confused. What are filing for? Your timeline indicates a recent CR-1 approval. If that is the case and you did get a CR-1 then you dont have to adjust.

Great to hear your case was transferred, Ellie.

Hopefully this means no interview for you. :)

Thanks! I wouldn't have minded an interview but at least this way (hopefully) David wont have to take a day off work. We are moving again next month so we need all the $'s we can get :)

How do I change that info on me??

We are applying aos I-485 and I-131 as I understand I apply for both? How do I know if I I can apply for I-131?

Everytime I think I have it figured out I get confused again!!!

Your adjusting from a K1 right? ???

You'll want to apply for AOS (I-485), AP (I-131) and Employment Authorization (I-765)?????

Start here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos That is a guide on how to adjust from a K1. You really should read this, it makes the whole thing much more clear. You didn't mention whether you want employment authorization?

re: your medical forms. If you haven't required any additional vaccinations, then you need to submit the vaccination document that Knightsbridge Doctors gave you and nothing else, as long as your medical examination for the K1 is within the last year. If you HAVE or NEED to have vaccinations you have a choice. You can find a local uscis approved Civil Surgeon who will give you any shots you need and fill out the vaccination suppliment for you (although these Dr's often require you to have the whole medical again) or you can use Dr Arnold's services where he will have you fill in certain sections of the form and then you send off proof of the vaccinations you have received, he will transcribe the form and will send it back to you.

To change your timeline information, click on the immigration timelines tab at the top of the page, and click edit/add my entry.

I'm reluctant to help anymore until I know what you are adjusting from, I dont want to give you the wrong information. You really must read that guide I gave you the link too.

You have sort of started to answer my next question about the medical he has had no medical at all. So what does he need to have a full medical? If so what forms for that?

Adjusting from VWP is what we are doing?

He came to visit and owing to a situation where is 80 year old Gfather made it here for his birthday in June we decided (real spur of the moment) that as all his family where coming from UK for his Grandfathers 80th birthday it was just right to get married while all his family where here anyway as what are the chances his grandfather and other elderly family would ever make this trip again.

Your dealing with a totally different situation by adjusting from VWP and I'm sorry but i have no real knowledge of what you need to do to adjust that way. You are better off posting in this forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=130 which specifically deals with VWP adjustment.

I am not sure if any of the information I supplied to you applies.

I think I have now filled in my information correctly on the immigration timelines??

I was not sure on my local office so guessed? I assume there is a way to find out if that is the correct office? I am in VA 90 minutes from DC?

Thanks I will ask the questions there as well if anybody else knows the answers on here I would appreciate the reply!

You're fiance was here on the VWP and you decided to marry?????

Don't quote me on this but i do believe he has to return to his home country and you need to file for K3 (if i have your situation correct) as far as i know you can't marry a foreign citizen while they're here just visiting and allow them to stay!

It's a contentious situation but, as long as it can be proved that the marriage was a "spare of the moment thing" in theory adjustment whilst remaining can occur. I admit, I thought about doing it that way, but I dont regret going down the K1 route. I couldn't think of anything worse than marrying David and then being forced to leave if the AOS wasn't successful.

WEEELLL WELL WELL....

I decided to go for a stroll down to the post box on this glorious Florida day (yay for the Autumn 80's and finally a cool breeze!!!) and was happy to see a notice that our case was transferred to Cali on the 23rd (The day we did our biometrics).

No email, no change on the website with regards to our status...just a letter that took 6 days to get here.

I think you're a little psychic emma. Anything else you'd like to predict? Florida state lottery numbers??? :D

YEAH!!!! They seem to be sending the UK applications to the CSC? It says it speeds up processing but I'm not sure???? I'll quit with the predictions while I'm ahead!!!

Yeah, I think generally speaking, as the uk is a low fraud country they can probably justify shipping them off to CSC for approval. The ones not shipped are probably there for statistical purposes....to show they do assess a proportion of UK applicants at interview.

I wouldn't have minded an interview tbh, but David is a joker and a trouble maker and probably would have said straight off the back "oh yeah, my mailorder bride only came here for some sunshine, she wouldn't have married me if I lived in Vermont" THAT would have gone down well

Now....whaddya reckon.

OMG, OMG, OMG! I just got an email from CRIS. Card production ordered!!! I read it and re-read it to make sure. Yes, it's for the I-485. Yes, that means we're approved!

This is so strange as we only just got the AP letter and EAD card in the last couple weeks. We weren't expecting anything from them for another six weeks at least.

Of course I'm not relaxing until I get that card in my hot little hand. I know everything will work out and I know I worry too much. But there's been a part of me that's worried through this entire process that somehow we'll be one of the ones where it all goes terribly wrong and I would end up losing him. But it looks like it's a go!

Also, would someone mind updating our info on the spreadsheet? I'm sure others are checking and this info would certainly help morale!

13.17.31.27.4.48? :)

Those numbers look good, give it a go!!!

Mmm not sure they would like the sense of humour, or even have one

I had an update on my AOS this morning - but I think it was just a touch plus it changed the wording to say my case has arrived at CSC and is being processed. Just seemed a bit odd I wasn't expecting anything. Ah well, at least the email/mobile updates worked this time!
