Case was transferred to the CSC today, fingers crossed that means no interview. :)

Hi Jim,

This information has now been added to the spreadsheet.

Congrats on the transfer....here's hoping for an interview free approval for you :D

Ellie

Thanks :) Just a slight mistake on my part; my case with transferred to the CSC on the 18th not today (21st).

Eeek! We are worried because John's biometrics appointment is tomorrow at 11AM in Atlanta... but half of Atlanta is underwater. Schools are even closed today; hundreds of roads are closed in the area. I hope that he'll be able to make it to the USCIS office tomorrow, but if not, I'm terrified that the bureaucratic nightmare will kick in and then someone in some Missouri processing center will decide that John has abandoned his application because they don't know that Atlanta is about to become Atlantis.

I'm sure it will be fine. I just freak out easily.

Whoa, just saw some of the pictures. Have you tried calling the office to see what they say about access? I'm sure it will be fine - something will work out and they can hardly blame you. Hope it goes ok.

That's sound advice from everyone -- and as long as you call them, it should be okay. I'm sure that they can reschedule, especially because it's through no fault of your own that the elements have suddenly decided to drown the city. As long as you notify them on what's going on, then you'll be fine :D. Otherwise, send letters, keep copies, and send/keep copies of evidence of the whole not-being-able-to-drive-through-an-ocean thing.

I would absolutely call them. You never know, they may not be in a position to open shop because employees cant get in etc.

They would certainly have to be understanding about your own inability to get there. I hope you guys are safe......the pictures on the news are awful.

Good news! John and I made a test drive out to the Application Support Center and all the roads to there are open and in good condition. He should be able to get there tomorrow without any problem, assuming that no more torrential rain falls.

It's worth noting that I did try to call this morning and I couldn't get a single human being on the phone. USCIS really is the bureaucracy to beat all American bureaucracies, which is saying something.

We're safe and dry, by the way-- thanks for your concern! We're on the east side of town; the west side was the hardest hit.

Glad you made it ok :) Good luck for tomorrow!

On a side note, is there an approved "what I should take to the AOS interview" anywhere? Or is it safe to assume it's just what is on the letter? Stupid question I know, but I searched on VJ as a whole and there are 98798798987 variations with varying recommendations!

:D I'm pointing you in the direction of our most illustrious Nich. I think there was a list somewhere in this particular thread (sounds like I'm repeating myself again...) which talks about the interview stuff. Don't forget photos, shared flight tickets, receipts, copies of joint bank statements, and so on (from what I've observed according to what others have taken). That's what I'd take, anyhoo.

Best of luck! You'll do great :D.

I did a walk-in yesterday too, nice to have it out the way! I wasn't asked for the marriage cert either - how odd. Yay, we are all on our way...
