Green Card in hand, 3 months and 8 days from receipt of NOA1 - luverly. :star:

Yay! Congrats! Still working on what to take to my interview, it's in two weeks :s

What evidences will they expect? Are you sure about them not wanting the x Ray? Not even if we get interview? Why did the guy make a point of telling me to take it to America then?

They wont need your xray. The people interviewing you are in no way medically qualified to look at your xray. All of the results of your xray have been submitted already and if there was a problem you would have gotten an RFE.

oh ok thanks , just odd that I was told to pack it in my suitcase. By the English officer at the embassy

Evidences.

So far (Yeah I am being far to ####### and collecting this already) I have compiled:

Evidence of joint bank account we have this

Evidence of us both being on the apartment lease don't have one of those

Joint cell phone account I am on the family account so could do this

We adopted our cat together from the county pound and are both on the paperwork..So I'd use that :Dnot allowed a pet :(

Joint Health Insurance can take this too

Closer to the time:

(when I learn to drive) Joint vehicle insurance I just passed my written test this Friday and are working on insuring me so I can take the practical. So might be able to do this too

Statements from friends...testifying to our relationship. perhaps we should do this too ?

Good Luck Hannah :D thank you :D hope you have a smooth and speedy process !

Hi all, not a long post, just asking to be added to the UK AOS spreadsheet please :) We had a wonderful outdoor wedding in North VA yesterday and are now thoroughly looking forward to married life. Oh, and more dealings with USCIS of course :)

Sent AOS+EAD+AP off today. For the notes I did HPV in the US and used Dr Arnold for I-693

Cheers all, good to see how people's timelines have be moving along on this next part of the journey and hope ours goes as smoothly. Lots of luck to us all!

I'm so jealous Chris! I would love to work in immigration law and have been looking into firms in my area that work in this area. Although my law degree is non specialised, I have always found immigration law fascinating!

EEEEEEEEEEEEK....4 weeks eh? I'm kind of banking on 6-8 to air on the side of caution. At the moment VJ is estimating mid to late october and although I'd love to think it will come through quicker...I'm too scared to apply just in case.

I hope my NOA's turn up tomorrow. I am actually kinda pumped now! Being a housewife is becoming hard for me, and poor david is suffering!

Good luck for the interview!

Just received a transfer notice to CSC. I'm a bit worried because I assumed that they usually transfer you after the biometrics appointment. Mine is due in couple of days. Do I need to be worried? Also Does a transfer always mean no interview?

Our transfer date was about 2 weeks before the biometric appointment. There have been a few people transferred who said they were later transferred back to a local office. But they were almost kinda "dazed and confused" sounding posts so I wasn't sure if they were really transferred back or just not reading their notice properly. I didn't keep up with them to see if they actually interviewed. You probably won't interview, so congratulations!

:D Hey guys -- got my biometrics scheduled for the 9th September, eeee!

Also, Shaz, I've had to do some hobnobbing (or shmoozing as my hubby's family puts it, I love it) with people so we can get more business for the inn, but it's nowhere near the kind of interesting hobnobbing you'll be doing. We had a d00d from the UN over last weekend, one of the peacekeepers...that was pretty interesting. I've had to do some shmoozing when I was at an intern at Ferrari too, at one of their events, but that was perverted older men and I didn't have a choice :(.

Magpie.

yay I am always hob nobbing gonna be hob nobbing with the Cult on Friday cant wait to hang out with them again, and to top it all their agent who is also the agent to a lot of other bands is gonna help me to get a job when I get my EAD cant wait I have never been so bored, so bored that I am infact looking forward to my biometrics appointment tomorrow so that I have something to do hahaha but off to see the Rangers baseball game tonight an excuse for a few beers hahaha

:D Eee, everyone sounds so positive...it gives me the warm fuzzies. I just hope everyone's timelines run quickly. Knight's back at college so he'll only be working part-time, but once I get my EAD, my step-mum-in-law's going to help the both of us move into an apartment and set me up with a vehicle.

Gawd though, they're so keen on grabbing people who are speeding here! At least in the UK, you knew where the cameras were, and could get a road angel or something to warn you where the speed gun guy or the van was sitting. But here, the cops lurk and come tearing after you if you're two miles above the limit. And talk about the penalties! I'll have to really watch my driving here...

Yay for you magpie that must be sooo exciting, can't till we can set up home alone, not that i don't like living with mum in-law because she is great but I think it would be fun to be able to paint things and do the nesting thing, and go buy bits to decorate the place. :D

Got a busy week and a half myself next tuesday i have a meeting with a friend of a friend in the fashion industry who has kindly agreed to meet me and answer some questions and dish out some advice. hopefully if i can get my head around the differences to here from back home and the ins and outs and my portfolio upto scratch I can find some work. B) Does anyone understand how the tax system works over here if you are working as a freelance? thats self employed status no? or does it border into contractual work? it always confused but i never did freelance in uk so i didnt need to worry about it.

Then the day after (next wednesday) is my interview for Aos so need to get my self in gear for that too. and i have a matter of weeks to pass my driving test. should have just under 60 days but we are off on our holidays in mid or late sept/ and might miss the deadline if i don't do it before we leave. :o Good job we managed to insure me on the car last night.

I'm sorta all pumped and excited but also nervous at the same time. :help: So much to do so little time.
