Still no NOA1 and it's been over a week...either the mail's slow, or they're taking their sweet time in sending me notice. It makes me really antsy, so should I give the USCIS a call about it and ask where it's at? I mean, I only have my A-number to go by, and looking at the NOA dates on the spreadsheet, it doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.

Magpie.

/edit: <_< Apparently, it says on the site that I can't get info on my case over the telephone. Does that render that idea moot, then? I'm just a tad concerned because my K-1 end-date is the 23rd August.

Magpie

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too soon to start flapping - did the whole K-1 thing teach you nothing, child!!??? ;)

And the expration date on the K-1 don't mean sh!t. Mine expired on April 20th; I didn't file for AOS until May 12th.

They seem to like generating the noa1 s around about the same date they cash or clear the check. ( I also heard they like to write the receipt # on the back of the check before sending it bk to your bank. If you can see if the check is cashed magpie you can be sure your noa1 is winging it's way to you. The problem with the size of this vast country is it takes carrying times to post the same thing to dif locations. Hence the 30 day wait rule uscis like so much before you can phone and report missing docs.

Thankums guys  it's just the NOA1 I'm worried about, and then I think I'll be okay after that -- just having that confirmation that yes, they have it, and it's in the system. :D Checking the cheque's progress (ha, ha, ha!-- laughed the crazy person...) is something I didn't think of doing, so thankums for that, Hannah.

Damian, they say when the student is ready, the master will appear :P.

Hi!

I am just in the last stages of finishing my AOS package but have come a bit unstuck on one particular point.

I entered the US on the 16th July but my POE stamps on the passport and I-94 are for the 17th.

Eeeeeek. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. Should I keep the information I have put on the forms (the 16th - the correct date) and hope they accept the POE stamp dates, or change the forms to reflect the date of my entry according to my stamps (17th) - which is obviously putting incorrect information on my forms.

Any ideas / experience of this on VJ?

Thanks

Eeep. If it says the 17th on the I-94, I'd imagine that's the date you'd write down -- but I don't know what the procedures are in trying to change that. Do you have anything saying you entered on the 16th? You could always include a cover letter explaining that...

Also :D what do you know? I got my NOA1 today, and it was dated the 14th August. Silly me!

in process of sorting that out just had some major issues with incompetent people in the bank in uk dammn

Ugh -- hope you get that dealt with. I closed my bank account after transferring most of my money over because Natwest doesn't have any US partners or ways of accessing stuff over here, and also in case something like that happened. :( I hope they're reasonable...what are they pestering you about?

well i didnt close my account with rbs.. but the twats cancelled my payements for my bike insurance.. so in the meantime someone stole my 125 from my friends house.. the kids stole the battery, took it home charged it..then stole the bike.. then proceeded to ride up and down past his house.. hooting everytime they went past, how we know it was them.. we had taken the exhaust off to paint it...so the fools get caught and the police get the bike and are fingerprinting it.. now i have to pay £150 to get it back to my friends house.. plus the £81 to cancel the insurance policy which thanks to the bank, i didnt want it cancelled.. and then when i call the twats at the bank, they cant tell me my balance, cant send me statements here.. but want to send my online access stuff to my old address!

but back to the AOS, i still havent filled yet i need to do it in the next couple of days..!

I've updated the UK AOS Timeline with Shaz, Ellie, and Julie.

Question to Julie and Ellie: Did you use a Civil Surgeon or send the DS3025 from Knightsbridge? Anything for the notes column like Dr. Arnold or got HPV in the US like I put on some people.

Shaz--are you going to try to do a walk-in biometric appt to speed things up?

Thanks for adding me. I had to have the TDAP vax when I got here but avoided the HPV on the grounds of being 27 when I asked Dr Arnold for the transcription.
