Hannah, you can also walk in and do it...Sarah and I did ours that way and had no issues....try calling them and asking - that's what we did - our original appointment, we could not do because we were out of town, they told us just to come in when we were able....it took longer to park than it did to do the bio appt :)

So Hi all

Have been incredibly busy and yet not busy at all. Hope you all don't mind but as I spent so much time going through the process with you all in the K1 lead up I thought it might be nice to continue on the journey here. (even if I am an Aussie)

Good to see you Melanie.

Grats on being transferred Damian, have fun at the wedding Nich (they having it in San Antonio?),

You people are good. Daymo :star: Talyss :star: know how to put 2 + 2 together.

Today...lovely...simple...meaningful....special...

I passed my microbiology exam yesterday with an A grade /yeah :dancing:

I just have to get general psychology done and hopefully the nursing board will decide I have enough theory hours to take my NCLEX exam.

they are so slow they make USCIS look positively efficient.

Hi all. I completed my AOS back in 2007 but took a fairly odd route having been here on an O-1 prior to marriage.

If I can answer anything I am happy to do so. After all, it is all about helping each other, right? I mean, EVEN the Everton supporters!

Other than that good luck to all and if any of you are in the Palm Beach, FL area and fancy a beer some time let me know.

Paul

It okay to whine. Glad you stopped in. Nick's AOS took over 5 months. It just seemed to sit at CSC with no RFE or any problems. After awhile, you just want to close out the journey and quit waiting on things to happen.

This is USCIS now, so DOS can't help. DOS is the Embassy stage, then back to USCIS. Call the number that comes on your AOS NOA and see if they will give you any information. People don't seem to have much luck with the call center, but just be persistent to find out if they sent an appointment and you didn't get it. Or ask to be bumped up to somebody that can give you that information. Did you move or anything since applying?

Hannah, forget the original stuff like the I-129F petition and the not received NOA2 and the Embassy. Just think AOS/EAD/AP which started for you 6-12-09. You got a receipt dated 6-18-09 that should say "if you have any questions call............." I think the numbers are all the same for the USCIS call center so it's probably on anything USCIS sent you. California Service Center won't be sending out your biometric appointment. That generates from the place where you mailed AOS--Chicago Lockbox/ National Benefits Center/ Missouri Service Center--whatever name they are going by of those three.

It's barely been 2 weeks since your NOA, so a little early to panic yet. You'll probably get it soon.

being in the south with no greencard is causing me a lot of problems, i wish this was all over so i could live a normal life like everyone else. :( i'm so tired of justifying myself to the xenophobic morons here. i've had my work permit for two months and i haven't been able to get a learners permit due to xenophobia at the local dmv, i only managed to get it by my husband taking the day off to travel to a different county and waiting there all day. i also encounter problems like i did when i tried to buy some cigarettes from a gas station a few miles from here, the lady decided she was homeland security, going through all of my passport with a fine tooth comb and checking my visa to apparently verify that it hadn't expired... i've also been told that i won't be served alcohol because my british passport is in french and they can't read it? i've never been made to feel so bad in all my life. my husband tells me to laugh off their ignorance because it isn't that frequent but when i encounter it i can't help but feel very angry, upset and insulted.
