Was the RFE just for the medical info? Or something else?

Our RFE was in fact a request for "initial evidence", which was the I-693 Medical exam and form. They never RFE'd us for anything else throughout this process.

I hope going this route works for you, but I can't/won't guarantee it. Good luck!

I've been reading how difficult it is for our spouses from across the pond to find work and it certainly adds to the stress level. Paul has been helping me with my cleaning business, 7 nights a week. He's in the process of starting to find work on his own, away from my company, but I almost wonder if its better if he stays helping me and I add him as a co-owner of my business. We are going to talk to the IRS about this.

Out of curiousity, since I am the sponsor and I'm the one that has to show I can support him for 10 years, do I have to keep my job even if he is fully capable of supporting us at some point?

Also, he heard that his "qualifications from England" don't count for squat over here. Is this true or have any of you dealt with this?

Will be interested in this reply as I work full time plus have my own biz and new hubby has been helping and has increased income (he has more time on his hands than me!!) He also has generated income for me with his new approach to the biz.

He obviously is not working in the biz at this point just advising and processing things for me. This would be a route we would look at for him to work with me as we are in a small rural town with not many job options.

Another question is could he start a biz of his own and run it before he gets approved or does he need to wait for all the paperwork to come through?

Hi all.

Still ####### all happening on the job front, and I'm fast running out of cash. It's getting so bad, I'm having to buy 40oz bottles of Milwaukees Best to economise on beer. :(

No worries Damian...he ran out of money a longggg time ago (my husband). he went from coronas to miller lite, haha. today we got fantastic news that my best friends ex-fiance was looking to ask my husband if he wanted a job--to be a personal trainer/coach to kids for soccer. they said he would make $$$$/hour. thank GOD my husband has ate and breathed soccer since he was born, being from europe, and is a great soccer player. so us living paycheck to paycheck wont last too much longer :) yay

So what are you going to study and won't the cost of tuition and books eat up the menial crappy job pay? And is the college study a guaranteed non-crappy job at the end? Economy sucks right now and it's hard to find jobs.

Nich, it's as close to a guaranteed job as I'm likely to get: it's a 2 year degree in Health Information Technology. My local college is only granted 10 places per year. I am first reserve (and it looks like somebody's dropping out). The graduates from this course are the guys that end up taking care of all the paperwork at the hospitals and insurance companies (coding and the like). I'm going to borrow the first year's tuition fees, so my crappy job wages don't entirely disappear.

Tell us more about what you're going to be when you grow up Daymo.

I just did - a healthcare tech bod. :)

Good luck Damian P. Keep ya chin up. They do say there's always light at the end of the tunnel......although I'm thinking it could be a train!

I hear that!

Running out of money completely is what I fear the most. I just can't bear the thought of having to go to the wife for handouts. She's keeping us both as it is, ffs.

And more power to your old man for getting a sweet gig

So Hi all

Have been incredibly busy and yet not busy at all. Hope you all don't mind but as I spent so much time going through the process with you all in the K1 lead up I thought it might be nice to continue on the journey here. (even if I am an Aussie)

A a result have only started AOS. However have managed to get the forms out of the way and get my MMR jab. So now just need to collect evidence AGAIN including getting MIL to fill in co-sponsor forms etc.

Plans for today get new passport pictures, called Dr Arnold's office to get my MMR transcribed. But have realized I never got a copy of my medical. Did anyone else have a copy from London??

You don't get (or need to send Dr Arnold) the full medical report, just the DS3025 vaccination sheet you got from Knightsbridge.

Ok wierd I have seen someone who's noa1 is the day before mine and they were even touched the day before me and it seems that they not only got their bio appointment already but did it early ( they also have and rfe, which I would rather not have) and also someone who filed after me who has thiers . Do u think I should be worried it's lost in the post or something? The couple one day ahead of me said they did theirs three weeks early that's not a lot of time to wait for an interview? I am worried if it is lost that I won't notice and I'll miss it.

Hannah--the bio appt often depends on your local office and how busy they are. You and the people you are comparing may live in different parts of the country so can't compare LA with DesMoines. You're probably fine.
