Two APs...sometimes they keep one if you use it so you've got another for your next trip. Some say make a photocopy and present original and they will keep the photocopy leaving you the original for use later. You read various reports of how the POE handled it. Some places made a photocopy for the traveller and gave the original back.

skparker--your status online-- the date could change right after biometrics. It's like a touch...the date changes but the status doesn't actually change. It will still say "pending". But if it doesn't change, don't worry about it. Ours didn't. We're still "pending" online with a GC approved in March. I have found that for AOS just forget all the checking. The touches don't really equate to much you can rely on as a prediction like when you're waiting on the I-129F approval. If somethig happens, then they will emal you of a status change (if you signed up for CRIS emails.) The touches mean diddly squat so just wait for it all to happen. You're in the US and married, so your life is going to be about the same whether you get a touch or not.

I got 2 AP's also, not that I will even use them but they can go into our non existent but hopefully coming soon scrapbook. Anyone else keeping a scrapbook of there journey? I feel like applying for the K1 was forever ago :D .

Agreed touches mean nothing, although for the K1 I was 'touched' 2 weeks constantly after they recieved it, nothing for a couple months then suddenly a week of touching and an approval after that touching (I know sounds bad). I am hoping the sudden touches on my GC status mean that someone is planning on sending me an approval soon!

Hi guys & girls :)

Just a quick question regarding AOS .. We had our interview on may 13th & were approved , the case status online showed card production ordered on the 13th may ... We have obviously been caught up in the green card production delay .. for the longest time the USCIS site has still showed the same date/info & due to the GC delay we have an infopass scheduled for monday to get the temp GC stamp.

We have now received a new CRIS email update :

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 19, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS.

What does this exactly mean? is this another copy of the approval letter we got handed at the interview?

Does this show that the GC delay has got caught up & we should receive another *card production ordered* email like others .... & should soon receive the actual GC at last??

I think the GC is on the way. I read a number of posts today saying they received their greencard and the delay was over.

Congratulations.

Doesn't mean your in the interview pile.. We got transferred very late compared to all the other March filers. Most the March filers got transferred around their Biometrics in April and we only got transferred in May.
