We hope they let it slide but we're prepared to spend the money, and were prepared to when we first sent it but didn't want to waste any time.

Congrats to the Green Card approval!!

and also congrats to Damian for getting his AOS sent out.

Looks like UKers have it pretty easy with transfers and quick approvals hope it follows through for the ones who are still waiting.

OK, so my AOS application finally left for the Chicago lockbox today - thank #### for that!

I've checked, double checked, and triple checked everything: I CANNOT BE RFE'd!!!!!!!!!!!! NO, NO ,NO!!!!!!!!:blink:

Well done, Damian

I added you to the UK AOS timeline. It seems like things are moving a little faster currently. Hopefully they will stay caught up.

I hope you're right, Nich. The one thing that gives me slight cause for concern, is the fact we're very close to the summer holiday period now, and one could logically come to the conclusion that things might slow up a bit - USCIS staff take vacation time too, after all. M3h.

Maybe someone will know.. Do you usually get an RFE before or after transfer to CSC?

i got an rfe before being transferred or getting ead.

Hello Uk folk, I have only just noticed this thread and i think it was a cool idea by my new wife Kristine :) I hope everyone is doing great on their Visa journeys. We are preparing all the AOS forms right now, getting things together and so on. Doing all this is not easy, but it does make it alot better doing it with your loved one instead of talking over the phone/webcam.

I just wanted to say hey to everyone out there, Oh and i am wondering what you guys all do during the day seeing as we cannot work, i am finding it very hard and frustrating not being able to get out there and earn some $$$, im sure im not the only one though.

Oh and before i go, what is the timescale from sending out the AOS papers until you can actually work???

Thanks one and all, i look forward to reading other posts and topics

Stuart

I am crossing fingers for no RFE due to no TB test, but either way it is no big thing as long as they let me work and travel.

I hate not earning either, all of my life I have been studying/earning so it is incredibly stressful not to be! my time is taken up by going for jogs with the dog, working in the garden, shopping and all that fun stuff .

Does the AP have a validity period? or is it valid until you get your greencard? We want to spend Christmas & New year in Scotland with my parents, family and friends I would hope I had my greencard by then but you never know!.

Damian--I did that too a few years ago at the local junior college. Have you started yet? I found one of the biggest problems was their hands shook so much they couldn't control the mouse well enough to point and click anything, especially where the start menu branches to sub menus. That led to showing them how to get out of things they randomly opened by mistake. Bless 'em.

And by the way (from the other thread)...I had to figure out who that bubble head cartoon was that you said I sounded like. So I tell you that you sound like a news reader and had a beautiful voice... and you tell me I sound like this???!! Golly Gee, I'm flattered.

they didn't rfe me regarding the tb issue, i think you can still be approved with xray only if you have your medical abroad, as its unpractical to ask you to come back after a couple of days.

I don't start until next week, but I worked there before during my internship at the end of my college degree in '06. And yes, watching them panic when they opened (or even worse, closed!) stuff by mistake, was quite an experience!

am i bad person (or a bad couple, since we are MARRIED now, weird) for not being super-gung-ho about the AoS?

i do care, but i am so enjoying being with the boy, that it seems less important that it did about a month ago. i do still enjoy paperwork and organization, but really? i have a few other things to do.
