I got this e-mail message today. Does this mean that they have just entered it on the system at CSC?

What this means is that your case has been transfered to CSC, and that in turn means that you probably won't have to go through an interview. That's what most of us are hoping for!!!

they transferred it on the 13th of April, I was just wondering what the relevance of this update was.

Hi guys. The email means the processing has resumed at CSC, meaning it's arrived and they're acknowleging you, but those updates are sometimes weird in their timing so maybe don't put so much stock in them. According to USCIS we are still pending at CSC and the last touch was Feb 17. In fact the GC is in hand and has a date of Mar. 23. So we got no update, no CRIS, no welcome letter but a GC surprise in the mail.

How long after transfer to CSC until approval? I had studied timelines and decided it was about 2 months during our wait. Well it was 5 months after transfer for us. Don't know why because there were no RFEs. CSC kinda had a slowdown for a bit during that time, darn it. Maybe they sent them too many cases "in order to speed up processing." I see there are people from September who were transferred still waiting. Then there's others where it happens quickly. AOS processing is just very unpredictable.

This is where you can keep up with who is getting approvals

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslis...p;op5=&cfl= Make sure the dropdown at the bottom says to show transferred cases only. If you look at it, there are most recent approvals of filers from September/October to some lucky dog who filed in March. If you sort by date and go through it, you see approvals and blanks everywhere. It's not like it fills up in order. If you thought K1 NOA2 approvals got out of order, that ain't nuthin' compared to AOS approvals. So don't get your hopes up too high, but don't get like the person I saw post who's been waiting since 2006 and hasn't chased it down yet. I'd give it 6 months since filing before pushing the panic button. Best thing about AOS waiting is that you're together so not such a bad wait. Post your updates here so we can add to the timeline data for others to reference the differences in how it goes for each case.

I hope you all sail through, so you can finally relax after a l-o-n-g journey. :)

Hello fellow Brits,

I sent in my AOS on the 23rd of January. I received my EAD/AP 66 days after filling and recieved my Greencard yesterday! And to top it all off, the mighty red devils are on course for another league title. Brilliant.

We still cannot view our cases online...i guess the only way for us to get an update is to call the 800 number. which sucks.

Maybe Nich can answer this though - we did get our biometrics paperwork (and went early to do it instead of date on appointment letter), but would we have gotten an RFE first before the biometrics, or is there still potential to get an RFE after biometrics paperwork. I'm not too worried we will get one, as all information is in there, just more curious than anything.

Jason and Sarah~~ I don't really know. My guess from just reading about RFEs is that if you left out something basic to the AOS, like your G325 or passport copy, then maybe they would RFE you up front to get your file complete. But I think you could still get one if maybe the person who finally picks up your case to reviews it doesn't like something specific about the Affidavit of Support or thinks you have a immunization missing. Does that make sense? It's like maybe the person who opens mail, more of a clerk type person would check for completeness but wouldn't make any judgements of things an adjudicator normally decides. I know in cases transferred to CSC, people would have biometrics and be transferred and later CSC would send the RFE. Perhaps for people transferred to a local office, they just wait until the interview to tell you what your missing. Then you have to get what they say and send or take it back to them. I've seen that happen with people who interview. Probably more RFEs come after biometrics than before.

Some info for touch watchers: LOL

When I was keeping up with my month of filing (October) almost everybody reported a touch a day or so after biometrics, however that didn't happen to us. Another trend I noticed following Sept CSC transfers is that like 16 people reported touches two or three days in a row around Jan 26. I kinda figured with so many getting touches the same day, it meant they pulled a box out of the store room and scanned the whole lot. Many started getting approved about a month later. Oct people also reported (including us) touches 3 days in a row after a long period of nothing. So using my "theory" of "3 touches + 1 month=approval", I thought we would be approved around March 17 and started checking USCIS daily. It was approved Mar 23, so not too far off, but we didn't know it because the darn touch thing never changed. It still says pending Feb 17! CSC seemed much slower during that time than the people that got interviews. The online thing is pretty unpredictable.

Edit: Forgot to say well done andiste08. That was fast!! Congratulations.
