It seems so simple, with our medicals, we got that wide-paper thing from the London doctors that shows vaccinations, so we had that, and then we sent the 693 that the American civil surgeon sealed in a envelope that had documented the proper vaccinations, so hopefully that will be enough for those guys....i'm actually surprised we found the form knightsbridge doctors had with the vaccination records in Nigel's documents, its a good thing I'm snoopy! LOL. So, i'm crossing my fingers!

We received an RFE notice today as well -- for the one they sent on January 12th, and that I THOUGHT had been all taken care of a WEEK ago!! :ranting: I am soooooo hot and cold on this whole immigration thing these days - one day it's "Wow, this is great!" the next is "WOW this is astoundingly stupid!" Today I got two emails - EAD card production ordered and the case on hold for RFE. I'm not sure which way to be yet.

Anyway, MARM, you know the congressional inquiry process. I think we had some success with that with our RFE, so maybe you will too.

I am still waiting for the RFE in the mail, its frustrating that they can't just post it on the USCIS website or via email...I can't believe they sent you an RFE again for the same thing...just might have to contact the congressman again

No, I don't think it's a second RFE - it's just an extremely late e-notification of them sending it to me two weeks ago. I just worry that the case may have gotten stuck in limbo-land. What if they don't do any thing with the file because they all think it's waiting on an RFE response...etc. I keep telling myself that since the EAD has been going along there must not be an issue with the RFE any longer...I hope.

^ Congrats Snowbunnies on your AOS transfer to CSC and EAD production!

We received an RFE notice today (via email and text)...we included the I-693 with vaccinations transcribed and a copy of the DS 3025, I hope they aren't asking for a whole new medical...other than this, I don't know what it could be for as I went through all the documents we sent again and everything that we were supposed to send in we sent...

Hopefully it's something small. These things seem a bit less stressful when our SO's are here with us. :) They are really quick to turn around RFE's once they get the documentation back.

Congratulations to everyone who's moving along :) All you guys with RFE's...hang on in there the end will come ;)

Our quick update. We went for our interview yesterday at Newark (yeah my head was all over the place...and last time i posted here i was on completely the wrong week...haha) Anyway bottom line is...green card APPROVED!!! Whoop! Thank god there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel at last.

If its any consolation to you guys waiting on email updates..i think the system is bust. I checked mine this morning, and my AOS still says 'request for evidence' soooo thats not quite right..lol

Anyway, good luck to all still waiting i hope it's short and pain free.

I also want to say a HUGE thank you to all you guys who helped us along the way, we couldn't have done it without your advice and support :content:

Congrats! Our online status was screwed up too, we had them all in reverse order, and could only go from email updates.

I'm going for a job luncheon in a few hours for Meditech. EEK! Excited though :)

Ours still says "pending" 10 months after approval.

I have some questions for those who got I-693 RFEs or keep up with some of the Nov/Dec monthly groups. This RFE thing is still puzzling since they are so vague about "send a properly completed I-693." I was reading some new FAQs that I hadn't seen before.

**Did you get a flu shot? Could that be the "incomplete" part of you DS3025 or I-693? Since the RFEs started coming noticeably in November, that could be why they were rejecting immunization worksheets.

Q.
When does the flu season start for purposes of the seasonal flu vaccine requirement? Since the seasonal flu vaccine is required, do I have to get the seasonal flu vaccine if it is not the flu season?

A.
For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 31, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

For us the exam in the UK was in the summer, but the AOS was submitted in the fall. So did they pass the DS3025 because it was dated summer? Had we gone to a CS in October just to have the DS3025 copied, would they have rejected because that form was done in flu season?

**Was there something written for every line on the immunization form or were there lines left blank? I was wondering if the CS was rushing through and just marked shots received and didn't mark the not age appropriate ones or the thing at the bottom that should be ticked....about eligible for blanket waiver. Our DS3025 (Dr. Waters at Knightsbridge) does have every line ticked or marked in some way.

Q.
Will USCIS accept a Form I-693 if the vaccination chart is incomplete?

A.
No. The vaccination chart should have at least one entry in each row for each vaccine. If the vaccination chart is not properly completed at the time of the medical examination, USCIS may return the Form I-693 to you with instructions on how to correct it.

If you refuse a vaccine because of religious or moral reasons, the civil surgeon will mark this on the Form I-693. In this case, you will have to apply for a waiver.

:star: And I really hope the luncheon has some positive results for Gemmie. She's cool and deserves an awesome break.

I do too, Nich, unfortunately not everyone posts the full text of what they received, which was no help at all to me when I was researching our flavor of RFE. Ours also has the words "...submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693...", but obviously had a different interpretation when the whole paragraph is included!!!!

I should add that some december filers were actually asked for the specific pages - parts 1 2 and 5 when they sent in only the DS form.

The points you mentioned Nich, are the ones that I checked right away as soon as we found out we have an RFE coming our way. Each row of my husband's vaccination sheet has one entry, and as far as the flu shot, the CS we went to did not have it so for that row, he wrote "not available", everything else either has been completed or is not age appropriate. Also, the CS ticked the box underneath the chart saying "May be eligible for a blanket waiver", so I don't know...could they really be sending a request for another I-693 (and we also included a copy of the DS 3025)? I hope we find out today!

Nich, here's one that was from the Dec. filers thread.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3654237

You have indicated that you last entered the U.S. as a K or V non-immigrant. Please submit a properly completed and signed copy of the medical exam conducted overseas on Form DS-2053, Medical Examination for Immigrant or Refugee Applicant, for the applicant on Form I-485.

If you do not have a completed Form DS-2053 please submit a properly completed and singed Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record for the applicant on Form I-485. The medical examination must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by the USCIS and must be issued within one year of filing Form-I485

Hewwo guys :D Grats to Selina and obbynox, whewww! That's a weight off, isn't it? And best of luck to Gemmie, you really deserve a fantastic job and I know you'll charm their socks off :D.

As for the RFE's, I think it's a bit bizarre that having flu shots is a requirement when there's such a shortage at the moment. It's especially odd as the people who need them the most are in specific age groups, as well as people who are working in emergency services and so on. You shouldn't have to get it if you don' twant to. Hopefully Allie and Nigel aren't going to end up with an RFE, too, because of the flu shot thing. When I think about it, I filed in August, before the flu' season began.

I hope that this gets sorted out .

In news on my end, Knight got a 76 on his ASVAB (he's been wanting to go into the Air Guard for some time now), and he passed his medical yesterday. It's an awesome score :D the national average is something in the low 40's, and he's over-qualified for the career that he wants. He'll probably go off to training after our ceremony in July, which means for those of you in Texas (yoohoo, Nich!) I'll be down there for his graduation! I was initially apprehensive about it because he'd be away from me for a while, but having moved into our own place, I feel a bit better about it.

Also, we have a furry addition to the family :D. She's a black, white, and orange calico kitten with some tabby markings, is mind-blowingly adorable, and enjoys sitting in my coat when I go outside. Knight took the rubbish out yesterday and she loved going with him :P. Bean's fallen head over heels in love with her, and he'll scruff her now and then when she's being mischievous. We named her Cleo, so I suppose we'll have to re-name Bean Figaro.

Squee!

Magpie.

/edit: Goodness, what a lot of smilies! I should probably put them in a bag, or something.

I did the wrong thing when I got a second cat - I had the girl cat and she was all established as the only cat, and then got the boy kitten. 3 years on and she still hates him and hisses if he so much as looks at her. I feel for her though, he does take many opportunities to pounce on her...

I suppose it really depends on the cat...Bean's already been around other kitties, so I know how he reacts to them. Some are a bit more territorial than others, but he's always been a pretty laid-back cat. How old was she to begin with? Usually cats don't tolerate newcomers after they're about five years old...Bean's going to be three-ish in March. It helps that he's not an aggressive cat. Cleo does make a huge racket when he's scruffing her, though. They're adorable together -- it's only the fourth day and they're following each other around like they've always known each other. Bean's even miaowed for her when she left his sight.

Anyhoo :P I could ramble about my cats all day, but work beckons!
