I'm not following why you didn't want to send the medical?? If you get an RFE, you have to mail in the medical...mail now, mail later seems the same. The medicals they are losing are the ones given before the visa. Those are turned in (brown envelope) at POE and go to a central location. When you file for AOS, they are supposed to retrieve your POE files to meet up with your AOS files. That doesn't happen all the time. Makes you wonder if they got misfiled or somebody was lazy and didn't send for them.

My gut feeling is NO it's not okay. The I-693 instructions are written exactly how they want them done. They are rejecting so many vaccination things lately with the wording "please submit a properly completed I-693." There used to be a one page supplement I-693A, but they changed the forms and want it the way they state in the instructions. It's just my opinion.

I wouldn't send in what you described you have. Go back and get it done correctly. If it's correct and all immunizations are completed, then they will be okay with it when you get the RFE.

Did you tell the Knightsbridge doctor you had chickenpox? He should have written VH on your DS3025 form (for Varicella history) and that excludes you from taking the shot. They normally take your word for it. Nick told them "my Mum said I had chickenpox in Dec 19xx." OR don't you have any pock marks to show the Civil Surgeon as proof of having the disease? I think with one shot they will accept your form, but who knows for sure what they are wanting these days with all the medical RFEs. Nik and Heather's RFE was a total mistake and they admitted it after she got her Congressman's office involved.

Yeah I told London and they made a huge mistake on that one....I even got proof of my shingles and chicken pox.

We didn't send in the medical because our civil surgeon went on holiday the day we were scheduled, and since I didn't have Varicella and he didn't believe me, he sent me to the health department which he told me was a "walk in". Walk in my butt...We had to wait 10 days to get the next appointment to get vaccinations, and then finally the dr came back from vacation and by that time the US military USCIS told us to send it in without one as it was getting annoying.

Guess on Monday morning first thing I am going to have to call the USCIS and ask what I am going to have to do.... I think I may just put his name and address to send the medical info too if its completed incorrectly as its not my fault. I asked him twice and showed him the piece of paper and he didn't believe me...

We are still waiting and I feel like the letter was lost in the mail or something (does a biometric letter send out texts/email confirmations?).

We didn't get an email or any notification until our biometrics letter showed up in the mail.

Hello everyone! I know we didn't go through the K-1 (don't shoot us!), but we were wondering if we could join you all. My husband is from Scotland, in the Highlands to be a little more specific. I wish we were as lucky as MARM with the bio letter. We are still waiting and I feel like the letter was lost in the mail or something (does a biometric letter send out texts/email confirmations?).

We just moved to a two bedroom apartment from my one bedroom.. and while unpacking I cam across a bunch of shopping bags I had from the UK... next, matalan, and debenhams.. haha!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed for a biometrics letter. :-(

Of course you can join us. We don't know much about doing the I-130 with the AOS, but maybe you can help others who come along as the experienced ones with VWP. We visited the Highlands and stayed 4-5 days at the most wonderful B&B in the whole world! on the banks of Loch Ness near Invermoriston.

I wonder if your biometric letter is taking longer because they have to go through your I-130 to make sure you "pass" before they move on and do the I-485 thing. OR maybe it's the change of address. They have been known to send things to old addresses even with change of address confirmations. Maybe you should call and ask if a bio appt letter has been issued since you moved and it could have gone to the previous address. Selina (Obbynox) never got hers and finally called after several months and they scheduled her appt immediately. It was just some glitch where they kinda forgot about her, but her bio appt was 112 days after NOA1 when the average is about 30 days. (Statistics courtesy of UK AOS Timeline for 2009 and 2010)

Welcome and good luck to you!

Thanks Nich-Nick! Kyle used to live right there in the Inverness/Beauly area. The Invermoriston area is absolutely beautiful! My change of address was literally just a different apartment in the same complex (same street!) so our mailman is on the lookout for us too. Who knows what is factoring into the delay (although we are still within the 'normal' range as of now). I'll definitely look into it as soon as we hit the day 30 mark!

:D Hewwo new people, and grats to people moving along!

Just a quick update from me, eeee! Lots of things going on, mostly involving apartment-y stuff. I also was able to use my wonderful pre-approval on my shiny 2006 Hyundai Accent (it's sky blue!) and we traded in the Dodge Dakota that was just sitting around, but we were still paying insurance on. Been planning and budgeting like mad, but I know we can handle it. Hopefully things will get moving with Knight and the job he wants out here, too.

^ Congrats Snowbunnies on your AOS transfer to CSC and EAD production!

We received an RFE notice today (via email and text)...we included the I-693 with vaccinations transcribed and a copy of the DS 3025, I hope they aren't asking for a whole new medical...other than this, I don't know what it could be for as I went through all the documents we sent again and everything that we were supposed to send in we sent...

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

We received an RFE notice today as well -- for the one they sent on January 12th, and that I THOUGHT had been all taken care of a WEEK ago!! :ranting: I am soooooo hot and cold on this whole immigration thing these days - one day it's "Wow, this is great!" the next is "WOW this is astoundingly stupid!" Today I got two emails - EAD card production ordered and the case on hold for RFE. I'm not sure which way to be yet.

Anyway, MARM, you know the congressional inquiry process. I think we had some success with that with our RFE, so maybe you will too.

I got my receipt number on the 28th Jan...However I am now worried because they still haven't cashed the cheque. That and I know I am going to be RFE'd for the vaccinations... And they probally will have lost my original medical from the POE too....DOH!

Just got a bad gut feeling about this one... So whats the reason for all these RFE's? Have they not sorted out the system to file peoples medicals in at USCIS? I mean I know its busy there but it need to be a tad bit more organised... I don't think I have seen that many people who haven't been RFE'd.

Maybe I can lend them my husband who has a little OCD with organizing.

Anyway, Nik And Heather GOOD LUCK! I hope its just a mistake and *Big hug*. I may have to come to you if they have lost my medical...Your a expert now!

And MARM, I am sure you will be okay... Good luck and keep us posted.
