Yayyy, wonderful news, Marm! :D Sounds like things are going peachily on your end.

Gemmie, you should get a PM in a moment :D. You're not being selfish -- you're setting your priorities sensibly so that before you can do anything else, you've got a good grounding.

Is the Biographical page in the passport the one that has the photo on? UK & USA passports?

It's the page(s) showing photo, birthdate, passport number, etc. It's not the pages with entry stamps.

Thanks for that info

Another question

G325a I have to fill out 1 for the UK & USA citizen at the bottom of each form it asks Applicant???

Who is the applicant on each form? Does each individual fill in their own info or is it the USC or UK who is the applicant.

TECHNICAL problem now when I go to print G325a It leaves in some little crosses on the dates so you can not see/read the dates? Any clues how I remove them? Or how to get round that?

It shouldn't print those...the crosses showed up on mine, too, but they didn't print. Even if the dates look like they're squished in the box, or cut off, they'll also print properly :D don't fret!

Also, "applicant" is the name of the immigrant -- at least, that's what I have on my form. We didn't submit a second G325a (that we remember) for my hubby, the USC. If I'm wrong, do correct me, please...

I am hoping to mail tomorrow!! If I survive today surrounded by Chaos of paperwork everywhere!

If anyone else has that printing problem this is how I solved it today!

I was filling in an old edition of g-325a and using an old adobe reader.

Found the updated form that is current and downloaded the correct Adobe Reader .9 and all is well.

Just thought it may help if anyone else gets stuck.

Question anybody know the current I-485 fee's or where to look?

Thanks

The APPLICANT is the person filling out the form. One is you. One is your spouse.

Question anybody know the current I-485 fee's or where to look?

Always go to www.uscis.gov for the latest forms and fees. Look in the greenish menu bar for the word FORMS. Every form is in the list with current fees written beside the form link. Click on the form link for a page of information on that form. Also if there are separate instructions, download and READ those carefully.

The RFE refers to following section 7 on page 4 of the i-485 instructions, which essentially says to attach form i-693 to the i-485, yet, read section 8 on page 4:

"If you are a K-1 fiance.. who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiance visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your Form I-485."

Ian's going to call USCIS tomorrow. This doesn't make sense at all, unless the rules have changed OR, for some reason, they don't realise Ian entered on a fiance visa OR they can't find his medical.

A quick question for my people here :) :

Should we be worried that our check has not been cashed yet? We sent the package (AOS&EAD) on Jan 04, 2010, it arrived at the Chicago Lockbox on Jan 05, 2010 at 6:44 AM according to USPS Priority online tracking. As of today, Jan 08, 2010, our check has not been cashed. How much longer do we wait until we start worrying?

Thanks in advance! :)
