Hello,

I am going to be a US citizen on Monday! I have been waiting a very long time for this!! YEY!!

My question is this:

I am getting ready to file for a K-1 visa for my fiancee in Romania. I will be sending the paperwork to my lawyer the same day I get my citizenship. On the G-325A at the bottom it asks for an A number. If I am a citizen, I am guessing my A number is no longer valid. Do I still need to put it in that box, or should I mark it with "none" since I am a citizen?

Thanks,

Ovi

You only put None if you are citizen by birth. Otherwise that number stays with you for life.So don't put none or it will create problems for you. I did the K-1 and i put my A number as i was not not born Citizen. Hoep this will help.

I'm also a naturalized US citizen and when you get you usa citizen certificate, believe it or not, it will have your A# on it. So if i were you, i would put that number on the g325. I know I did!

If y ou are a naturalized citizen of the United States then you have an A number. Look at your Naturalization Certificate/Paper, there is an A number in there. My lawyer pointed that out to me. I thought that if I was a citizen that you don't need it and it goes away, you will always have that A number. Goodluck.
