Hello everyone,

I am reading all these forums and seeing that all Pakistan's are being put on AP unfortunately. However, is it both for male and female or just for males. Because my wife who is the beneficiary is in Pakistan right now and we are about to send in our DS-230 packet and then she will get her interview date. so should we also be worried about this AP processing. I mean usually what is the reason for being placed on AP processing..... Thank you.

Regards and my prayers go out to all wives/husbands who are away from there loved ones and hope they unite together very soon inshAllah.

asarene20 - I didn't see any details of your case, so maybe if you update your timeline it would kinda help.

From what I understand is due to the situation in Pakistan AP generally means they track out all the information on the beneficiary.

Such as the home address given is a valid address, bank account info - account really exists, work place, etc etc etc.

If you live in a distant remote area than islamabad it takes a bit longer to verify the information.

If closeby then its easier for the embassy representatives to track the info.

So depending on this situation thats what AP means and signifies.

Also do bea in mind these people work at their own pace.

one day work 3 days lunch break...haha
