Yeah, but he wanted more questions than the samples they gave.

OOh...I see. Hmm....I won't be much of help because it was more than 2 years ago but I remember that almost every road sign in the book came out on test because the road sign was a big chunk of it. It could change now I guess so hopefully people with more recent experience can help

The manual says there will be 16 road signs and 34 multiple choice questions. Do you remember if there were pictures or text only for the signs?

Pictures of the road signs. Be careful with the rules question as they will have the very same question asked 2-3 times (they just shuffle the words a bit). I think the important ones were in the 3rd and 5th section of the book - how long for a car to stop if traveling at such and such speed, speed limits in different areas for different vehicles, 200 feet (300 feet if you're driving 50mph) before turning turn the signal on and change lanes (if needed). It's the numbers to remember mostly.

It's funny how much they tell you about turning on the turn signal when idiots here (excuse my French) don't do it! You'd think they never had to take the driving test. End rant.

Wasn't difficult for me at all - of course, in my BMV they only had pencil and paper tests and no computer ones.

Yes, pictures of road sign - basically asking what does those signs mean.

Your reply brought back some of the stuff. The speed related questions is definitely important there were also several questions regarding this issue (the speed limit in highways, the distance between car), about entering multiple lanes street.

Questions in speed limit in highways is included on my written test. There's also road signs. The exam is not that hard. I got it all correctly, lol Just tell him to read the questions carefully because it is quite tricky.

The whole having to stop with a school bus having it's lights and arm out was a new experience for him. Apparently they don't have anything like that in Berlin.

The Indiana written test was a pain in the #######!! I took it about 9 months ago when we moved here from NY, and it was MUCH harder than the NY one. And plus, if someone moves to NY with an out of state license, they do NOT have to take another written test as they do here...it's a stupid rule I think.

Anyway, I remember those questions about turning your brights off at a certain distance from an oncoming car, and I had no idea of the answer...I am from NYC, and never had a reason to use my brights, so I had no clue and guessed. I also remember those questions about the signs that ask you stuff like 'If a road sign is in this shape, what type of sign is it?' They would show you like an upside down triangle with no color or text, and you would have to think of like which types of signs would be in that shape, and then take your best stab at it. Those were kinda tricky I thought. Or like 'Which types of signs are colored yellow?' Weird stuff like that, which were kinda weird. I dunno.
