hello ppl of VJ,

We already sent the I-130 application for my 2 kids in the Philippines. My USC husband is the petitioner being his step children.

My questions are;

1.Do i have to include all the evidence of our marriage like joint financial bills, accounts, lease, joint tax returns , etc .etc..during the initial submission of I-130application or do i have to wait for the papers to be forwarded to the NVC or wait for the approval first before i will send all the documents,?

2.I did not send any proof but just the marriage certificate and some pictures as what was stated in the form instruction. Am i correct on this?

Now am worried, please help me.any ideas will be of great help. Thanks.

Hi sis,

You should have included copies of :

-Children's Birth Certificates showing your name on it, their mother.

-Divorce decree (if hubby had been divorced in the past).

-Hubby's US passport or Birth Certificate to show that he is a citizen of the United states, the petitioner.

I hope somebody would come forward and help you and guide you on this matter.Good luck girl!

I forgot to mention the I-864 affidavit of support to show your husband's income.You should have submitted more evidence like what you have mentioned above also to speed up the process.Just prepare all the other documents so you'll be ready if you receive RFE.I don't have any experience really with this yet, but planning to petition a sibling someday when I become a citizen and able to do it.LOL.I'm just reading the guides here and the USCIS website.I't a long process I know for a sibling but quicker for mother-child and vice versa petition.Time really matters here so hopefully you'll be finished while your kids are still minors.

Thanks Bituin, i was thinking of sending the 1-864 but was afraid they will return it for too much papers that are not needed yet.
