Hey! I have a G8! No being mean to it :P

I know they were talking about getting rid of Saturn & Pontiac or something, but I thought I just heard on the news they decided to stop the Pontiac line. I don't see it anywhere online. I wish I'd pay closer attention to the news while cooking.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

Wow, someone who actually owns an american car that isn't a Ford F-150

Well, TBH, I think it would be logical to get rid of Pontiac. The brand has sputtered around for the last 20 years. They haven't had much success rebranding the name. Saturn I thought was doing OK for them. I hadn't heard about Saturn getting dropped at all. I heard vague rumors about the GMC brand getting cut, which makes sense, it is a redundant brand.

I believe I advised you before of this. Number #1, #3 and #6 selling car in Europe is a GM / Ford product.

PS what do you drive sir douche?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Top Cars in Europe

Not sure about that. What GM cars are on your list? Ford I can believe, having been from a family of ford owners. However the models are usually different in design to their US counterparts.

edit: thats a 2006 list, heres a 2008 list

2008

Actually, in 2008 it was more like this:

  • Position … Car Manufacturer …No of Cars Sold … % Market Share … % Change vs 2007
  1. VW … 3,026,550 … 20.6 … -4.4
  2. PSA … 1,865,407 … 12.7 … -9.1
  3. Ford … 1,461,235 … 9.9 … -5.2
  4. GM … 1,406,916 … 9.6 … -13.9
  5. Renault … 1,286,120 … 8.7 … -6.9
  6. Fiat … 1,179,989 … 8.0 … -5.5
  7. BMW … 819,461 … 5.6 … -3.5
  8. Toyota … 814,581 … 5.5 … -12.4
  9. Daimler … 788,955 … 5.4 … -5.9
  10. Nissan … 337,913 … 2.3 … +8.8

Btw, Ford Europe builds its cars in the UK and they're completely different than in the US.

Oh well, I don't really care anyways what GM does.. I don't like US cars anyways (which is why I drive 'meisterschaft' lol)

1. Vauxhall/Opel Astra: 437,673 -6.2%

Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch

And Europe's best selling car is… the Vauxhall Astra, branded Opel in the rest of the EU. Sales of the Astra dipped during its second year on sale, but it still recorded big enough numbers to keep it in pole position.

for those that think pontiac hasn't had a decent car in decades, a co-worker of mine has a trans am with the ws-6. he had it up to 185 at a german race track and there was more gas pedal left.
