Isn't it an idea to have VJ set up a sample email which we can all copy and paste into our mail programs so we can all send an email to, for example, CNN or some other nationwide news media, and to selected congressmen, representatives, etc etc etc? One email might not make a difference, a few hundred probably will.

I want to help her too, I remember her here on VJ when I first filed in 2008 and had to withdraw the first petition.

She is a strong girl, lets see what we can do for her. She has waited way too long.

I'd be willing to sign a petition! I'm not sure that an on-line one would have the same impact that a hard copy would though... check out snopes.com and search e-petitions... I think to have a shot of making an impact we need actual signatures... this may be tough considering that we live all over the world, but I'd be willing to give it a shot! It is completely unfair what is happening to Estadia. I just can't get over how people get the run around when they try to do things the proper way!!

This is a bit OT: I know the media has not been interested in the past but....

I had a thought while flipping through channels tonight, my fiance watches Lou Dobbs on CNN. Lou Dobbs is always straightforward and critical of government and its inefficiencies, I have heard stories of him investigating about other federal departments. I wonder if he would be interested in publisizing USCIS. I mean Sara's petition sat for ONE YEAR just waiting for someone to send out an RFE!! Not to mention the increase in fees, decrease in efficiency, employees losing documents, whole petitions, medicals!! customer service agents who don't have a clue, FBI backlogged, first in first out I think not!! Anyways, I think it might be a good way to bring up Sara's case!

I agree!! I think the media is a must. Not just for Sara's case, but for the many people who struggle with this process to be with the people they love. One hurdle after another, stupid restrictions, and random craziness.

We should all band together and spam the media about all these things. Its all maddening!

I'm sure i can get at least 50 real signatures from my friends/family. I'll print up 50 separate ones if i need to. ( i just bought tons of ink and paper so i'm ready to go! )

i'm in.! sara has been waiting too long. i hope things is sorted out soon! i agree with the idea on bringing this bureaucracy and government restriction up on media not for one case but for many other people who struggle.my prayers are with you stay strong sara, love never fail!!

I would definitely be willing to participate in this. We have all needed to wait, but this is ridiculous. Sara's timeline is the quintessential example of everything that's wrong with the immigration system.
