As feared, I received another biometrics appointment as FBI cant process my previously taken fingerprint *sigh.. they scheduled it June 23rd but I'm thinking of doing a walkin-in on monday as I will be out of the country on the 22. sucks.

Same thing happened to me. A re-take in FP. I received the new notice on Thursday and went back to the ASC the next day for a walk-in since the new appointment was schedule for 2 weeks out. Funny how it says on the new notice it wont cost you anything extra. Well time, travel and the waiting is all money when dealing with USCIS and they should know that...

Guys, I am VERY shocked today to tell you I got my interview letter in the mail!!!!!!

My interview will be Aug 6th, 9AM! Oh, I'm so excited!! :dance::dance::dance:

Congrats Ms.Ann. All indications are pointing to me having an interview date in August. Since I would be gone for the whole month, I will be writing a John Deere letter to USCIS. :)

Sorry to hear this LiahnSilver :( Did they do ink/paper last time with you? They did both when I went for I-751 and I'm worried I have even less fingerprints now... I noticed on my 10 year GC they put the ink imprint of index finger not the 'scan' version...

Better safe than sorry i guess. Just think of all the offices and hands these documents go thru. What if someone happened to misplace your divorce decree and the officer giving you the interview was looking for that specific document? And you happened to not bring in the divorce decree. Guess what? Another durations of delays. days, weeks, months...

You missed my point -- the form that accompanied the interview letter already said that we have to bring these documents. So we were of course already planning on bringing them before this yellow waste of paper showed up.

We just got our yellow letter yesterday. What a total waste. And I can see it unnecessarily scaring some people. Ours says to bring (x) all passports current and unexpired and (x) evidence, such as divorce decrees, etc., that prior marriage(s) have been terminated. These items were already included on the list of mandatory docs to be brought on the form accompanying the interview letter! Did they think we'd ignore that list or something?

You got your yellow letter AFTER you got your interview letter?? I never heard of that, so weird!! :blink: Who knows what USCIS is up to now :jest: .

Sorry to hear this LiahnSilver :( Did they do ink/paper last time with you? They did both when I went for I-751 and I'm worried I have even less fingerprints now... I noticed on my 10 year GC they put the ink imprint of index finger not the 'scan' version...

They did the machine scan, but the lady that did mine let 62% pass while my friend who had the same sched as I did, the lady that did her FP did several retakes til she gets 100%.

So i'm on my way to the field office and hopefully they get it right this time.

Hey guys... an update for me and a question for u. I called uscis today, escalated to second level officer (a really nice and funny guy by the way). He told me that i was placed on queue for intervew on june 1 (biometrics was completed on may 28), and also told me that "everything looks good, you are on your way"... Now, does that mean that I am not stuck in the uscis name check 8th dimensional black hole? I find it weird that I am on interview queue since june 1st and they haven't even sent a letter out yet...oh well : ^_^

It all depends on how backed up your local District Office is. My wife did her fingerprints on April 25th. The interview letter wasn't sent out until May 20th and her interview isn't until July 17th.

Puffy, I'm in the same boat as you... In queue for an interview... kinda rhymes.. hahaha... Worst case scenario is we aren't citizens until after labor day.. Best case.. Independence Day..

Glad to hear that RDan, this means your second biometrics capture has been successful :dance: ... hopefully the bloomington DO isn't too slow :), a oath by independence will be miracle, but one can dream :D

Hello,

nice to see the grid filll up with interview dates! Sorry I have been inactive, waiting for my baby, she was due on Wednesday but still has not made her debut just yet, let's hope she will come on time for me to go to my interview on the 22nd, geez, what eventful times!!

Good luck to GermanInDixie for her interview on the 16th, first one for April, tell us how it went!
