I got a letter for a redo on my finger prints for the 6/9, took them originally on 5/19. For some reason the FBI couldn't use em for their check. I was fortunate that the St Paul ASC let me do the re-take today. Has anyone else had to do the FP more than once? for what reasons?
I sure hope I get an interview sometime this summer.

Good luck to all who received speedy services from USCIS. I still don't get any positive info from the customer service number. How are you folks getting your interivew dates from them when you call there?

Sorry to hear that RDan, I agree that u r lucky that the st Paul asc let you do a "second" walkin. Did they tell you why it was rejected by the fbi? usually when u do fingerprint, there is a score treshold that pops up when u do the prints on the machine? Do you remember what kind of score you were getting during the first and second fingerprints?

I have no clue why I had to do Fingerprints again. Never heard of a score threshold.. I dont think I have an clone hanging out in the USA. But the guard said if the prints get rejected again. I would have to go to a Police precenct and do a manual ink Fingerprints.. I have 3 prior biometrics, one in the Philippines, one for my temp residency in St Paul, and another one last year for the AOS... I don't think my prints have changed.. hehehehe. USCIS is just milking all of us.. and the bad think about it is they make us wait.. hahahaha...

When you are doing the prints, if you look carefully at the screen after the print is scanned, there is a number that pops up (ex 76) and a little message at the bottom of the screen (ex PASS) but i guess u have to be a geek like myself to notice that :lol: ... but anyway i wonder why people suddenly start having trouble with their prints during the n400 process and not for any other petition, maybe the fbi raises its standard for what they consider good prints ( which i think is really dumb :bonk: )... wish u luck and that you won't have to do the ink thingy.

Well you are not alone Puffy...I noticed the numbers too on the instrument. I was getting a 78 & 79 everytime with a 'PASS' on the equipment and one time I had a '74' which was still a PASS which almost made me ask the official for a re-do..(I didnt want to travel another 5 hours for another FP appointment). Also, I noticed that when forced too hard, the prints were dark and she made me re-take a couple of them. As I relaxed, the prints were better as she said. Mind you, I was the first one that day...maybe as the day wore, they didnt care as much..and could be some dark prints which the FBI couldnt use.

I know somebody who has to go back 3 times for her FP.. so we told her to try another field office (if she can)..I dont know what happened on the 4th. But mine last saturday I have scans that says pass on a 62% ..now that worries me.

I had no idea that your prints could be rejected. I have never heard of this before.

I have still not received my Interview letter. I did the fingerprints on May 15, four days after Raleighn400. He got his letter on May 22. I hope there is no problem.

You might want to call them by end of the week if you still have not gotten it. But then there is not much logic in the way they do things.

Also, I noticed that they now have added Raleigh as one of the DO in the Processing times section of their website and it says they are processing N-400 applications received as of Oct 24, 2008(as of March 31, 2009). Hope this is not the case.

My Interview is on July 30th!! :dance:

I called the 1-800 number and got through a person by choosing the "haven't received the notice sent out, etc.". When I reached the CSR, he kept repeating what was on my online status. I told him I need to get escalated to another level because I was worried that my Interview Letter and/or Request for Document Letter might have been stolen because we had mail theft in the neighborhood last week. After a 10-minute wait, the 2nd leverl CSR asked for my Alien Number and told me that the letter just went out today, and that my interview is on July 30th I asked if there was a Request for Document, and she said there was none.

Time to study
