then of course there is the standard "Wonderful Tonight" - I like this version because of the angelic background singing at the end......

If you're getting married in traditional Chinese garments, wouldn't it be out of place to play Western music??? Am I missing something? Your soon-to-be wife will be completely clueless with music she does not even understand - culturally or linguistically.

Leidys simply does not have much of an appreciation for English-language music, because;

1. She prefers Latin 'Romanticas'.

2. She only understands Spanish.

3. Romantic music is more appropriate for a wedding than music by a Blues-rock artist.

Think about it. Most wedding chapels have music pre-loaded on iPods, making this easier, but perhaps you should consult with your wife what she would prefer - that would be more appropriate that her daughter would associate with an Eastern rather than a Western wedding ceremony.

Playing the Rerun game.

Don't go there playa. Remember what happened this time you were playing multiple women (including Leidys) at once a year ago?

The latest update? Onelis considers me to be a womanizing North American. But, her and her sister want to know who it is that I've been dating recently.

In Onelis' barrio, the girls get down and they scrap. They don't fight, they scrap. I'm not talking to Onelis, but I have a feeling that her sister will come around the hotel looking for me in December when I return to Barranquilla. So, a "Ken v2.0" is entirely possible. Just stay tuned, it's gonna be a wild ride...

Why not just zip your pants?

You don't even understand my thread. Here, I'll explain it to you.

I stopped talking to Onelis because she dumped me the first day I got to Barranquilla.

I stopped talking to her - period. This upset her, and the only straw she could grasp at was that I was a womanizer, although we were no longer an item.

Something about Latin-America is the whole 'Jealousy' thing that isn't as prevalent here in the United States. She dumps me, yet I cannot date other women? That is how she saw it. That is what made her a delusional basket case.

Her sister got involved by STALKING ME at the hotel. It's nice to feel wanted, but...

Once again, read the thread - ALL 2,300 PAGES WORTH. Then, you'll understand all about Leidys and how we worked ourselves up to the point we are at now. The part about my Father is extremely sad, but very relevant.

1. You don't know anything about us.

2. You are missing something because "Wonderful Tonight" was on the first album I recorded for her so she knows the song very well.

3. Don't insinuate that my fiancee is clueless about anything.

4. Where your fiancee cannot speak English and you cannot understand that Wonderful Tonight is a love song, my fiancee can.

5. You need to cool it on the stereotypes and get educated (if you want) on China.

6. Who said anything about a chapel?

Sick that you are proud of that.

Read it again yourself. You were dating Leidys one day and making out with another woman the next... and so on. You can make it as macho as you want and blame the women for being jealous but as you said in the thread, why not bag as many as you can (like women are cattle)?

End of Story. Take it to PM if you want to continue it. I don't. Quit baiting me.

NEITHER of you are right. Both of you need to stop, this is very immature to be doing in this thread...or at all. If you guys can't say anything nice, or at least half way civil to each other, please just stop. Its becoming a drama thread about things that have NOTHING to do with supporting each other through your waits or suporting the other people in this thread. I don't think I've read any filer thread like this one that has so much disrespect being flung in all directions.

Its also against the TOS post that Ewok put out a few weeks ago.

So anyhoo.... in semi-related news. I went dress-shopping again today (sorry Neil, I'll spare you and won't post pics), and I found MY DRESS. I had thought about getting a different one, but completely changed my mind. There were a couple others that I liked more, but either didn't fit (and were on the sales rack, so I wouldn't have been able to order it in my size, which made me sad), or were over my small budget. So, it was a slight compromise, but I actually really like it. It's going to be appropriate for our scenario and atmosphere of the wedding. :) It's very pretty, and I look great in it.. HAHA.. true.

I will post pics (sorry Neil) when it comes in (hopefully December). Should I be concerned that they didn't take my measurements before placing the order? She just 'assumed' what my size would be...

Anyways, I figure I will get my NOA2 within the next 3-4 weeks, realistically speaking... I'm getting nervous when I realize that I will be going away for a month in just FOUR DAYS!!!! I have so much to do.. ack!

As for the first dance, I don't know what we will do. We want to do something kind of fun and different. Have batted around some ideas, but not entirely sure yet.

Oh, also, I'm a little sad today... I'm at my parents house right now, because they had a gathering of family for a goodbye BBQ for my brother and sister in law, and their 2 children (my niece and nephew obviously). They are moving to Cambodia this month. Today was the last time I'll see them for.... I have no idea how long... a year, minimum. My niece is only 3 months old, and my nephew is 2 and a 1/2. They will be completely different the next time I see them, and my niece won't know who I am, and my nephew, well... i'm just hoping he remembers. I'm really sad about that.... My brother is my only sibling, and my fiance doesn't have any siblings, so that's a big percentage of my immediate family that's away now! :(

oooh do they at least have a website you can show me from? Don't worry about them not taking measurements. They usually have your basic size, and then they do the refining at your fittings. They will actually pin it to your body instead of doing standard measurements as they want to make sure it looks perfect.

Whew....

Allie- you should have a recepation or something later so that you can dance to your song :)

ashenflowers-you HAVE to post pictures of the dress! I'm so sorry about your brother and his family moving to Cambodia. That has to be so difficult to say good-bye (F) I hope that you get to see them again relatively soon.

As for the first song-no idea. Probably something in French so that we can both fully appreciate the song, but we'll see.

So, I pitched my dress idea to my mom, and she almost started crying. She knows that we're not going to have the highly traditional ceremony, but she went dress shopping with me (multiple times) and really has her heart set on me getting the first dress that I posted. It's a little out of my price range, but I might just resell it....We'll see.

Hope you are all having a good weekend!
